Jinnie's Place

We had some initial trouble gettng a transport from Krabi Airport and arrived at Jinnie's which is now called Raks Thai under new management in a rain squall with roadwork after winter floods making it look a bit doubtful. Yet we stayed and stayed - a full week. The freshwater pool is great, clean cool. Most cottages are brick with outdoor bath and toilet but modern and efficient. Just 7 minutes walk to the less busy east part of Ao Nang but 10 restaurants within 15 min. walk, a money exchange and 7-11 just up the road. We got a great 1,000 baht island speed-boat cruise arranged with quality van pickup and had only some puzzles about room-cleaning schedules. New owner also runs the Muay Thai boxing stadium across the street. Some noise at night - but mostly birds, and some insects at night. This is NOT the 5-star resort and does not claim to be. Good value for money. Relax and let down the hair at this modestly but decent mini-resort.
