B&B Villa Magnolia

About 30km from Zurich and about 80km from Liechtenstein. Also only 100m from Zurich lake and promenade. Near train station ( 100m too ) directly from Zurich and Zurich Kloten airport. We'll try coe back in future.

This is a family run B&B and Anthony and Lony (the owners) gave us a warm welcome on arrival. Lony then gave us a bit history about their business while Anthony was getting the paper work sorted. Then we had a tour of the b&b while Lony was showing is around.
The best room comes with a sauna and jacuzzi.The btharoom was nice and clean and towels had a fresh fragrance.

The B&B is literally oposit the train station. When you step out for a walk, you can walk by the lake and enjoy the view of mountains with snow blanket. On the day of our departure, the weather wasn't great and it was raining. Lony was nice to give us an umbrella to take away with us.

Their website is under construction so it might appear that the b&b is shut but this is not the case.

Our stay was very pleasant and we will definitely book with Villa Magnolia in future.

After discovering that the local, large hotel where we had a reservation was unexpectedly closed, we were lucky enough to find a room that same evening in this delightful B&B.  Nestled among lush gardens, yet still right in the heart of charming Richterswil, this was a magical find.  Our room, which Thomas and Lonny kindly made up for us on the spot, was beautiful and very comfortable.  Breakfast was a culinary treat.  Next time we are in town visiting family, we know where to stay! Thank you.

Arrived at the B&B after walking past the sign 3 times- sometimes one needs to open their eyes. Going into the garden and seeing the B&B for the first time is lovely. You can tell that great pride has gone into creating a lovely place for people to stay. The garden has a few places to sit to enjoy the nice weather. We were met by Thomas and Lonny who were great hosts. We were shown to our room by Thomas, we stayed in the room behind the secret door with the en-suite. The beds were two singles together with our own duvets. The beds were comfortable and had good sleep for the two nights we stayed. The room was very clean as was the en-suite. Plenty of towels and amenities. When going away breakfast is one of my biggest indulgences and I was not disappointed. They so many different types of cereal and the option for eggs and bacon. There was also meats and chesses along with fruit and fresh yoghurt. There was a key for the night door which made us feel secure (but I was a little nervous about losing it!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Thomas and Lonny were also very nice to our friends who live in Richterswil but were not guests at the B&B when they came to meet us in the mornings.

The great hospitallity by  dear  Loonie and Thomas, the warm atmosphere
all around the house, the beutifull garden, the great avice for traveling in the area and 
the speciall  (very very  clean) and beutifull  room will all stay in our hart for a long time.
we didn't want to go back home ....
