We stayed six nights in a finely decorated studio with a separate lovely terrace, a small kitchen and a bathroom. We made day trips to several locations and cities and started each day with an amazing, healthy and ecological breakfast at the B & B. The owners put a lot effort into making their guests feel welcome and well taken care of. We highly recommend Ängshyddan!

Charming and peaceful B & B with a perfect location on Scanias East Coast

We stayed for a couple of nights as we were in the area for my uncle’s funeral and had the most warm welcome from the owners, Carina and Janne who’s taken over this place last year. 

This is by far the most loveliest bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in, and I’m very well travelled. The feeling of being greeted as family member when you arrive, to the attention of details and being so well looked after during our stay really made our visit amazing under the circumstances. 

It’s clear that Carina and Janne are very hard working and doing everything they can to look after their guests and making their stay memorable- you can also feel how proud they are of their place and so they should - it’s absolutely stunning! Managed to take a few photos but it doesn’t do the place completely justice as it is truly magical. I’m hoping to come back with my husband and share the magic.

A very nice and small hotel with comfortable rooms and a very good breakfast.
It's a silent place not so far from the Baltic Sea.  And free parking is available. Also all rooms have free WiFi.

Else and her husband (unfortunately I didn't ask his name) run this lovely B&B and are very welcoming and helpful hosts, together with their son who works there also. It is situated on the main road (118) and very easy to find, while being surrounded by trees and fields to the sides and rear, making this location peaceful and providing some privacy and opportunities to enjoy a lovely evening in the garden without prying eyes. Across the road a few yards is a road leading down to the beach at a 15 minute stroll. The beach extends for what seems like miles, and I spent my Sunday morning walking down the beach towards the river (warning: apparently there's a nudist beach just near the end of this main stretch of beach, so you may get a surprise. I'd been warned to turned off towards the nature reserve a little before).
There are some bikes for hire at the B&B and there are cycle paths through the forest (beside the beach) and one can cycle to neighbouring towns easily, e.g. the home of Absolut Vodka (Ahus) or even Kristianstad itself.
Breakfast in the B&B has variety, catering for those who are vegetarian or like meat or fish. A nice selection of breads, homemade also. The dining area is lovely and rather homely. Else is an artist and the dining area serves also as a gallery to her paintings, some of which are also on display elsewhere in the premises.
The rooms aren't huge but they are immaculate and well presented. Mine were on the ground floor, as I believe they all are actually, and overlooking the garden to the side. The one thing I would certainly change about the rooms are the mattresses. While they appear in good condition they are too soft for my preference, which of course is a personal thing. 
Else and her husband were great to deal with and very helpful regarding directions and transport in the areas. I'd definitely stay there again in the future, for the peace and quiet and of course the 
fabulous location. By the way, there's a bus every hour at least to Ahus and Kristianstad for a very reasonable price of approximately £6-7 stg or circa 10 euro. The buses do not accept cash though and people seem to have a 'jojo' card that they swipe on entering the bus. If you don't have one of these you pay by credit card. I think you can get the jojo card in the main train station in Kristianstad, and many other places too of course
