Had a lovely 5 nights at this place. Very clean. Can feel personal touch to everything. Designed like home from home. Everything is counted, every small detail even masher for potatoes they have. Kitchen staffed with all necessary utensils nothing to add, which is very convenient when you travel with kids or you want to try your own cooking all those fresh seafood from the market. Bathrooms are very clean, light and comfortable with enough hangers, hot/cold water, soap, towels etc. 
Every room has AC and fan. Huge verandah outside - very cosy and all in green plants around. Balcony with chairs and hammock to relax. Very close to beach but far from noise. Prompt service and pleasant owners. We will come back definitely.

We loved everything!

We have spent there a week and we really loved it. We have never been to Sri Lanka before so we had many questions about traveling there with kids. Veronica, local manager had enough patience to address all our doubts before we arrived.
We arrived early morning and found apartments prepared for us with complimentary fruits and plenty of drinking water so we could have some rest after long travel instead of going to nearby shops for essentials. 
Apartments are well-maintained, everything works properly (which is unfortunately not that obvious for Sri Lanka), there are enough utensils and electric devices in the kitchen including a blender we used to prepare morning shakes. 
Apartments are located really close to the beach, which is a great plus, you don’t need to take anything with you when you go swimming. 
Complimentary WiFi worked fairly good, however you can’t expect Internet in Sri Lanka to work as fast as in Europe or USA.
Veronica arrived to greet us later and gave us many tips about the surrounding., She was always available for us and helped us with transportation when we needed that. 
Nisa, the janitor made friends with our kids, so we have another reason to get back there.

Well-maintained property with great management

We booked this place reading the reviews and photos. There was much disappointment.  We got the ground floor which looks fairly nice in the pics but is a little run down.  

Pros: the owner was nice (we only met his son who said they would be happy to refund our money if we wish to go else where). This was nice but having 2 children it would have been difficult going around looking for another stay.  The place is spacious and good if you are staying with a family.  There was a kitchen with cooking facilities.  The water is hot in the showers and has good pressure. There was a welcome fruit basket which was a nice touch.  Beds got made everyday. 
The place is worth it for the price. 

Cons:
Kitchen cupboards were old and there are many gekos going around the kitchen at night. 

The place only gets cleaned once every 3 days.  Rubbish doesn't get emptied everyday which invites the gekos and other insects. They are tight on their bed sheets and so when the air con is on (which you need to keep it on to keep the mosquitoes away) it gets very cold.  

There are lots of mosquitoes because of the canal at the back. 

Garden is not the best kept.  Smell from the back is horrid (although this can't be helped). 

Bathroom is little old. The kitchen pots and pans are old and not inviting to cook in. There is a very slow kettle but no toaster.  

It's worth staying if you are on a budget.  


Not as good as the reviews

We stayed for 9 days in the ground floor apartment. Our initial impression on arrival was 'wow, we've done alright here' and this view did not change throughout our stay. The accommodation is extremely spacious with two air conditioned double bedrooms with comfortable mattresses. There is a large lounge with settee and chairs and a large kitchen area which was more than adequate for preparing your own breakfasts. The owner provided a welcome fruit basket which was a nice touch. There is a shared outside seating area over-looking the garden and the place is a minute walk from the West side of the beach.  All in all excellent quality for the price you pay and contributed to a fantastic stay in Unawatuna. Special mention to the housekeeper Gangi - she is really kind and helpful - a real star. She sorted us a bargain airport taxi at short notice when we got skanked by a travel agent. Thanks again Gangi!

Comfortable & spacious accommodation close to the beach

I would highly recommend staying here. 

The setup is beautiful with European  comforts. Set back 50m off the main road makes the place a peaceful little Hub with no road noise.

Alex had really fantastic communication and the apartment was spotless! 


Beautiful stay!

The apartments were very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The kitchen is basic but there are plenty of nice restaurants around so didn't use it much. On arrival, the member of staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. It is a peaceful location which is no more than a 5 minute walk to Unawatuna beach. If i was visiting Unawatuna with friends again I would definitely be staying here.

Comfortable apartment in great location

A great apartment for 4 people with all necessary amenities to have an independent stay. The location is quite and calm, however, it's only ca. 200 m from the beach entry on the west side of Unawatuna, where loads of restaurants and water sport clubs are situated. 
The apartment itself is well equipped (kitchen stuff, living room etc), in excellent condition and high standard.
We can highly recommend this location for a stay in Unawatuna in every aspect.
