This is a very nice homestay. It was our first in Sri Lanka and it was the best breakfast we had during our trip. It was a bit funny at arrival cause the old lady can't speak english but later in the day we met the guys and they could speak english. Don't expect something of the room. It is basic and a bit humid. But okay the price you pay is nothing so it is worthy ! I would recommend to stay here if you don't need luxury. We arranged also a full day with them and it was very nice. 

Basic but cosy place

Easily one of the top places we have stayed in Sri Lanka. They have only 2 rooms, and they are quite large with a huge bathroom (ensuite). It's pretty clean compared to what we've seen around. Super fast wifi (6Mbps) all the way to the rooms is included in the price.

The location is in a secluded area in the forest, 600m from the main road. From there you can catch a tuk tuk (not recommended, they are all hustlers) or the bus to Sigurya for 10 times less the price!

They also make a really nice breakfast for 300 each (egg, toast, butter, jam, banana, tea or coffee). Their tea is really good.

It's one of the very few places I would highly recommend in this country.

Super nice

We stayed for two nights. Basic place, but super friendly people who meet your requests. We had great food both for breakfast and dinner. It's about 20-25 minutes walk to the sights. They arrange transport in the nearby areas and  safari.

Found this place online and as it was the cheapest we could find we thought we'd give it a go. 

It's located down a mud track close to Sigiriya rock which means at night you'll need a torch when walking around! We stumbled across a group of fireflies on the way back which ive never seen before, it was amazing. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom is functional and clean, water isn't warm but it was tropical when we were there so it was nice! Theres a roofed area out the front of the room where you can sit in the shade and look into the wilderness. The owner is a very friendly woman that can prepare you meals or order tuk tuks! Word to the wise, you can probably get cheaper meals on the main road but the food she serves is good
