Horrible experience. 

We were off-season. Hotel not ready. 
2 Young people welcomed us when we arrive. 
They let us the choice between 2 Rooms (Wohoo!)

So: 
- One of the towel was still dirty 
- Had troubles with the shower
- they're was blood on the bed sheets 
- Had few coackroaches in the rooms
- Had been beaten by few unknown stuff in the bed. 
- Been waiting 1h30 for a bit of breakfast. 

Shame.

DON'T GO!

A nice and calm beach hotel.we stayed our night here and food and everything was so good. Superb location. The room is good and well comfortable. Beach and deck is good and the service is at its best.

Value for money

We loved our stay. The manager took great care of us and made us feel very welcome! Great location and The cutest puppies! The Mum dog  was very skinny so we left money to feed the dogs so if you stay there please feed them!

Great location and staff

We enjoyed the stay a lot. The beautiful beach is directly at the hotel without many people. Staff was helpful and we watched the World Cup Final together 
The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was great too. We had dinner next door at the resort. Great food .
Scooters can be rented 500m down the road at Sea Breeze Inn.

Nice beach and view

I have never been in such a beautiful and lovely hotel before. The staff was so friendly and helpful and they served us a delicious breakfast (600 rupies for a all you can eat buffet in very good quality!). there is toast, jam (homemade!), butter, fresh made omletts, string hoppers, fried noodles, dhal curry, fish curry, roti, pancakes, fresh fruit and juice, yogurt, coffee and tea. But the best thing is that all rooms have a sea view balcony and that you have your own private beach with sun loungers and pads under palm trees (the rest of this beautiful and deserted 14 km long white sand beach is without any shadow places!). We really enjoyed talking with the owner who used to live in France and who made us feel very comfortable. The rooms are very modern and immaculately clean with comfortable beds and air condition and a fan! even if it hasn't been finished yet, we couldn't hear any noise from the workings there. So we highly recommend this place! It is gorgeous! 

Wonderful Insider Tip! 

The location is beautiful and the room was nice and clean. We did have an ant invasion in the  bathroom right after it rained but they came and cleaned it up straight away. Room was 3500 rupee without breakfast. We chose not to have breakfast there as they only had a continental one available and we were after a local breakfast.
The beach is very quiet which was great. We went swimming by the light of the full moon in the warm water with lazy waves rolling in. I second Flashpacker6 with the AC units all installed in the hallway. It turns the whole hallway into a sauna before you get into your room and is a massive design flaw that will never change.
In terms of the staff we really felt like they were taking us for a ride. They wanted 5000 to rent their wind surfer for 1.5 hours, which considering the price of the room is ludicrous. We also asked them for recommendations on a massage place and they took us to the grossest massage place we've ever been to called Nilushi Lankan. I think they knew them so sent us there and took a cut. Guy at the front wanted money up front (5000ea) which always is a bad sign. Got taken into our rooms which had dodgy tables and everything was pretty dirty. Probably the worst massage we've ever had, no pressure, just weird light rubbing with heaps of oil. Answered her phone in the middle of the massage and had a quick chat to her boyfriend and then wanted a tip . Think the hotel staff must have taken a cut as it was crazy over priced and horrible.
Chatted to a local at dinner and they were astonished that they would have even considered sending us there........he thought the staff at Aqua Marine were a bit dodgy and the massage place was 100% dodgy.
