﻿We loved how their staff welcomed us. They never hesitated to provide us required information about the area and transportation services. I couldn't get the name of the gentleman who took our bags to our room and served us the welcome drink. He is very professional about his job and knows how to treat their guests. There was another gentleman who served us our breakfast. He helped us a lot getting us tuk tuks. Breakfast was delicious and I never expected this kind of service. The view from our room and the restaurant is breathtaking. Room was very clean and there were tea coffee amenities, hot water shower and a hair dryer as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Ella. There was nothing I didn't like. But I suggest them to improve few more facilities adding a Tv to the room and some bedside lights.

Had a great time!

My son 17 and I were very satisfied and impressed by the Riwana Fall view guest house, a little off the beaten track from Ella town. It offers clean and comfortable bedrooms, simple yet tasteful too.  The location is great! Quiet and within walking distance into town if you don’t mind walking up a fairly steep road for just 10 min. The delicious breakfast and view is breathtaking and service is immaculate.  The manager and all staff are really welcoming and caring.  The price is extremely good value for the positive and edgy good vibe this place conveys. I highly recommend it for urban, adventurous travellers.

Good vibe, great location, good taste!

We travelled from UK. Great views from every side of the room. Clean modern room.  We had very comfortable 2 double beds, sofa and balcony with a  table. Breath taking views of Rawana falls. Very friendly staff, delicious food. Views of lovely hills, trees all around the hotel feels like we are in a tropical forest, nice quiet relaxing place apart from birds singing and sometimes monkey noises far in the trees. We wished we had booked more than one night. My son loved the lovely dog cheered us. What else we want. Highly recommend this little guest house.

Comfortable room with breath taking views

Best hotel so far visited in Ella. Staffs are more friendly and helpful for single minute. Best view great food I love everything. We stayed around 15 pax..! And we made DJ BQQ and makes more sounds and they stayed until finish our party.

Best guest house in Ella

Room was terrible with no facilities including tea making pot. Taps very difficult to operate and not at all worth paying a price to it. I had a terrible experience when my family was ignored or ill treated, for reasons I’m not aware. If you want to come to Ella, thrs limited good accommodation facilities available at the moment. Ella is over priced and now the natural beauty is gone with everyone building lodging and eating facilities. Most of them are very pricey and kind of charging lot higher than other places. If you want a good trip stay in Bandarawela, Where plenty of accommodation facilities available at reasonable rate plus thrs plenty to

Terrible and overprice accommodation

A 5 min walk to town or a £1 tuc tuc. The most amazing views and really friendly family run hotel. Close to everything in Ella you want to do. Rooms were clean and quiet, warm water in shower, nice breakfast, j would stay here again 

Amazing view!

If you get here - take a room with Mountain View (this rooms are on the 2nd floor). Then your days there will be gorgeous. 
I give 4 stars because of some small inconvenient points which couldn’t make me sad but they were. 
- some problems with electricity
- many insects in the room 
- some construction jobs which were very noisy (we stayed in room for about one hour one day and it was annoying) 

Hospitable guesthouse with great view! 

This hotel was super friendly and comfortable. To be honest the hotel in general are not fantastic in Ella as it is a backpackers destination so I think this is one of the best. Downsides are our room and bathroom smelt bad but you get used to it and the access is up a steep drive so you have to be fit.. Upsides are the view is outstanding and the breakfast was really good and generous with roti, French toast, fruit, toast and dhal

Good for the money

The hotel has a amazing view, nice staff and good breakfast. The rooms needed some updates and there were broken toilets sitters and no pressure in the shower. No working WiFi in any area, not even around the receiving area. One day the power was off and our toilet stopped working so you could not flush, this in just the two days we were staying there. Nice is that every room has it’s on sitting area outside whit a amazing view. Walking distance to Ella city.

Amazing view

The hotel is placed in a beautiful scenery. You can watch the nature and sunrise/sunsets from your room/ balcony. The people working are really friendly and helps you with what you need. Great Sri Lankan breakfast on their outdoors patio. The hotel is situated a little outside of the centre, which w thought was a good thing! It is a good start point for the hike to Ella rock and in general it is situated in beautful nature. A nice walk to town. takes around 15 min. part of the way can be along the train tracks. Highly recommended hotel!
