New Green Hut Inn & Restaurant

I stayed here for 2 nights during my stay in Dambulla. What made me happy the most was hospitality of Asela, the host. From the very first time I walked in the place, he kindly showed me all the cheapest rooms he had and let me choose the best one. (I took the second cheapest room.) He also served me tea set every day, gave me detergent, went to the town to buy me a bottle of beer, etc. etc. He did all these things always with his politeness. His lovely daughter also helped him by taking order and chatting to the guest. When I left the place, they also came to the main street to see me off and help me catch a bus. It was very helpful because I sometimes had difficulty catching a proper bus on the road by myself. Positives - hospitality of the hosts - convenient location (just in front of Golden Temple and Cave Temple) - clean, spacious room with hot shower, powerful stand fan with timer and lots of power sockets - free use of bucket, detergent and hanger for laundry - 2 hours free Wi-Fi access (Rs.50 / each additional 2 hours) Negatives - not many places to eat around the hostel
