We had just three nights here but wish we had longer such a lovely setting but rooms and an excellent breakfast. The staff just could not do enough for us to make sure our stay went well especially Top man Bianca.

Excellent short break

We (12 people) arrived at night and were greeted with welcome drinks. Check in was smooth. Bathrooms had hot water, hand shower and was equipped with tissue rolls and jet spray. Two sets of two pairs of towels were provided. Towels were a bit rough though. Rooms have pool facing balcony. As the name suggests, there is a canal flowing adjacent to it. Breakfast was complimentary and was healthy. Eggs were limited to one omelette per person. Pool was clean.

The place is very beautiful and I will highly recommend if you want to stay in Bentota.

Picturesque, hospitable and clean

This was my first trip to Sri Lanka, and staying at Canal Villa made it the most wonderful vacation I could´ve asked for. It was a really nice place, and the people there were so nice and helpful. They made me feel home and taken care of the entire time. It was also clean and great.

Fantastic place

Canal Villa is a wonderful place to stay! This was by far the best vacation I’ve ever had. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with big balconies overlooking the pool and the beautiful garden. The beach is just a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride away, and close to varies restaurants and shops.

The staff are lovely people always making sure that you’re comfortable. They’ll help you with everything you need - ordering a tuk-tuk, book trips to the amazing places of Sri Lanka, transport to and from the airport etc. I highly recommend to book your stay here! It’s like a home away from home.

Without a doubt the best place to stay!

What a wonderful place! A villa where they make you feel at home in a friendly and personal way. My first time staying here, and i am definitely coming back! The owner invited us for dinner at his home at one time as well. We had a fantastic time.
At loss for words for this super place.
If you are traveling to sri lanka, this place is a must!

The best decision you will ever make!

This is my fourth time staying at Canal Villa. I come back time after time because of all the wonderfull people working at the hotel. They help me out with everyting i need and always make me feel like im home.
The rooms are very nice and big, with a nice view of the hotel grounds.  The breakfast is really good, and they have a nice swimmingpool. Its only a short walk form bentota beach. 

Yoy will never find a hotel like this. The people working her is what makes the place. You must come visit!!! 

You Will never find a better place than this! 

We absolutely loved our stay here. 

The welcome was warm.... we were provided with good information about getting around and local places to see..... our room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable.  The balcony was lovely.  

The breakfast was simple and delicious.  Pool was lovely and they turned the lights on at night so we could swim in the evening. 

We also had lunch and dinner here a few times and the food is lovely. 

The staff were all highly professional and very friendly - something we found is not always the case in Sri Lanka - these guys are clearly know what they are doing!

Location wise - it is a 10-20 minute walk to the beach, but very easy.  If you take a Tuk-Tuk this will cost approx. 200-300 Rupees (which is very cheap).

I also recommend visiting the artists shop which is 3 minute walk from the hotel.  He was fantastic and does everything himself!

The only small point that I can think of to improve is that the fridge in the bedroom was in poor working order.  However other than this everything was perfect! 

Would 100% recommend - worth every penny.   Would definitely come back.

Loved it here

A family of four including age 6 and 4 stayed there about 9 nights. All the staff tried to make us comfortable as possible especially Piriyanka. He arranged one of my daughter's birthday breakfast as a surprise. It really made my daughter happy.We had really lovely relaxing stay there.
It takes a few minutes to nearest beach,which is lovely sandy beach. It is quite,too.
小さな子供連れの家族旅行をしました。スタッフはみな親切で快適な休暇かできました。

Comfortable & Friendly place

We had a great time here. Beautiful garden and great pool. The rooms are very clean and spacious as well. We also had a balcony overlooking the pool which was great. The minibar and the other drinks we ordered to the room were reasonably priced. It's also possible to have dinner at the hotel, if you inform the staff beforehand. The food we ordered was great, so we were really happy with the decision. 

Special thanks to all the staff, and especially Priyenke who helped us out with a lot of stuff! 

The only downside was that we had some problems checking in. I recommend to use Booking and not Agoda.

Great place - A tranquil oasis

Very nice small and quiet villa, staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and cozy. Little pool area was just perfect for our son. Breakfast was tasty, nothing to complain about :). We really enjoyed our stay!
