We stayed at La Muralla four years ago and we are so happy we returned! We had three marvellous weeks on this beautiful spot. The view from the large terrace is stunning. You can enjoy the terrace from breakfast untill sunset. The beds are good and the appartement has everything you need. You can hear the road, but it is not too noisy and the view and location absolutely compensatefro this. Even when all appartements are occupied you have a lot of privacy. This is absolutely good value for money. The appartements and the public spaces are very clean, the staff is great.

Beautiful spot

This apartment was a real find. Perched high on the hillside overlooking the banana locations and the town, the view out to sea was fabulous. You do need a car to stay here, as the road is very steep, but it's just a two minute drive into town to eat in the evenings. There's a small parking area outside of the apartments, a little tricky to manoeuvre, but we had no problem finding space to park when we were there.  

Despite being there at the end of June, we had the beautiful quiet pool to ourselves most of the time. The exception was the last 48 hours of our stay, when all of a sudden our idyllic setting was invaded by a group of 14 energetic teenagers, a visiting table tennis team, who completely took over pool. But I think this would not normally happen, and was just bad timing as far as we were concerned.  

All apartments have their own terrace, and awning for when it gets too hot. Plus that view! They are very well equipped, clean, modern and comfortable. There's no air conditioning, but we found the overhead fan was perfectly satisfactory. The beds were comfortable, the curtains were dark, and the kitchen was well equipped, with fridge, hob, microwave and kettle. The only let-down was the bathroom; this was perfectly adequate, with a good shower, but the room had a damp smell, and seemed completely out of keeping with the rest of the apartment. And yes, due to the isolated location, it's bins for the paper, but no great hardship for anyone who has stayed in Greece or Turkey.

The management could not be more helpful, and spoke good English, other guests were either Spanish or German. Although we didn't use the service, there was a delivery of fresh baked bread daily. I was also able to arrange to borrow a hair dryer for the week, which was useful.  The apartment was cleaned most days, except at the weekend. Finally, as we had a late flight back, we were able to stay in our apartment until late afternoon on our final day, which was a real bonus.  

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Muralla apartments, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Puerto Naos.

Fabulous location!

The apartment is lovely except for the shower/toilet room which is badly maintained and poorly designed. You cannot flush paper which is ok except the cleaners only empty the toilet bins every 3-4 days, so you have to do it yourself, not what I want to be doing on holiday. The terrace and the pool are lovely. The pool is unheated but you soon get used to it and the views are great. The bus stop is outside and run every hour for easy access to town or up towards Todoque where it stops at some very good restaurants, Mariposa and Las Norias in particular. Do not use a taxi they are very expensive! It isn't possible to walk anywhere from the apartments as there are no footpaths and the road is busy and bendy.

Could be great

This place is really fabulous, friendly staff more fluent in German than English (but better than my Spanish!).  Apartments are not luxury but they are well maintained and they have everything you need.  The big plus is the private terrace that each apartment has, accessed from both the living area and the main bedroom, terrace is almost as large as the apartment, plenty of space for two sun loungers and a table and 4 chairs AND 2 wind down awnings and fabulous view.  Virtually no English tv channels (but who needs tv with those views?)
Apartments are set on a hillside (tip - do not unload your suitcases til you know which apartment you are in as there are many steps and depending which apartment you get, it may be easier to take the cases in through the side gate off the car park.) in pleasant gardens.  another big plus is the lovely pool.  I dont believe this was heated (the sea was warmer) but it is refreshing, delightful.  The only thing you need to be aware of is that the apartment is not walkable to Puerto Naos or any restaurants.  However the apartments are so superb that this minor disadvantage is far outweighed by the many plus points (peace, quiet, views, pool).  And if you timed it right, it is on a bus route, so i guess we could have used that to go out in the evening if we needed.  Really cant wait to return to these apartments on this lovely island.

Fabulous place

The friendliest hosts ever, spacious appartments with a wonderful ocean view. The interior is simple but tasteful and complete. Absolutely a place to come back to. Every appartment has a large terrace with incredible views. A car is a must but renting a car on La Palma is not expensive.
