Gwangju Byulbam Guesthouse

I stayed in the 6-bed dormitory type room at Byulbam guesthouse for 3 nights in Dec. Liked: (1) The hostess was kind and enjoyed meeting new people. Liked it she didn't see the guests as money. (2) The bedding and towels were all white and very clean. She said she used to run the bedding shop before taking over the guesthouse. (3) Every morning, at 8, the hostess prepared the Korean style home-made meals for the guests. It was good. (4) ADT CAPS service (building security service) eas used and CCTV was installed in the living room. I was the only guest on the first day, but I felt safe during the stay. Disliked: (1) If you use the public transportation, you have to walk for about 2~3 in the alley. Rather dark and not many stores around. At night, I was a bit scared finding the guesthouse. (2) The guesthouse is close to Gwangju station. But it can be a bit far to Songjeong station (where KTX is running) or Kim DaeJung Convention Center (30~40 min. by bus or subway). However, I will use the Byulbam guesthouse again. The advantages offset the disadvantages.
