daegu really offers more than you might think, we really didnt expect much but what we got here was

+ exceptional value for money
+ 24/7 staff (non english though)
+ big rooms
+ free ramen and socks for check in
+ moody lightning in room

the deluxe room even offered massage seats, i wish we had those!

what more could you ask for...

Centrally located motel. It is close to railway station and bus station. Rooms are reasonably priced. English speaking staff.  No restaurant inside the motel but there are many food joints and 24x7 shops close-by. Free Internet and even computer room is available to check mails. Condoms are also available in the rooms. Phone chargers are also available in case you forget yours. Recommended!

I had a very interesting stay at the Abba Plus Motel. Overall, The place was very comfy and the value was great! But the setting/theme of the place was very..... interesting to say the least. read below for more details.

Staff - I only encountered one member while staying there at she was the lady at the front desk. She didn't speak English but she was able to find my booking with my last name from my passport. Not sure if it was just a miscommunication but she didn't want to accept my credit card when I was trying to pay and wanted cash instead. At least that is how i interpreted it. She reminded me of a Mama-san if you know what i mean.

Wifi - One of the fastest speeds I have ever seen! I always do a wifi speed test at every hotel and I have never seen any other place with fast wifi like here. Amazing!

Room - Room 307. Room was more than i expected. Very huge and spacious. Air conditioner was very strong. I saw an ashtray and i believe you can smoke in the rooms. With that said, the hallways and room were very clean with no odors or burn marks. I also found it interesting that they had condoms as an amenity along with hair gel. Honestly, i felt like this place was meant for other reasons because it had a porn style feel to it. Besides that, the room had a big television and the bed was comfortable. 

Bathroom - Big and spacious. A little disappointed that there wasn't a normal sized towel in the room. I just had 4 small hand towels to use. 

Location - Great location with lots of convenient stores and restaurants nearby. Subway station along with the KTX is an easy five minute walk.

Overall, I would gladly stay here again for the price I paid. I would, however, avoid this place if traveling or staying with family just because of the theme.

Near Daegu Station around 10-15 mins walk going to Abba Plus Motel. The room is comfortably big, clean & with complete set of toiletries. Although the front desk Lady can't speak & understand English everything goes well thanks to translator apps. We enjoy our stay & the hop in hop off bus tour around Daegu.

Yes, it is a love motel, but it's squeaky clean. 
Yes, the area is of dubious reputation, but perfectly safe and harassment-free.
The rooms are spacious and have all (and I mean all) amenities.
Apart from the cheap price, another plus is close proximity with Dongdaegu train station, handy for trips to Haein-sa and/or Jikji-sa.
I would not recommend it only for families with children.
