I loved staying over at Craighall Garden Guesthouse. It felt safe and peaceful. Will certainly be back.

Very Cosy and Welcoming

This guesthouse is located in a quiet area close to Parkhurst. Well decorated and equipped rooms. You feel like entering into your own little house with lots of plants outside. The bed is very comfortable and cozy, with really good pillows. The owner is very welcoming, kind and calm.

Cozy stay close to Parkhurst

This property is in a great location, walkable to many things, and a great place for respite!  James is very helpful and the rooms are super clean!  It is close to the metro station and about a 35 minute drive to the airport. 

An oasis from the busy city

Great place to stay, very clean, friendly service and located in a very quiet and peaceful location. The owners paid attention to detail and my room had everything I needed.  My bed was super comfy, so I was well rested!! Thank you !!

Rest, Relaxation and Tranquility

My partner checked in a few hours before I could arrive and she was already boasting praises about the service, hospitality, the feel of the place, how she could really breath there, how beautiful the room was as well as the overall cleanliness of the place. We spent a considerable amount of time looking through stays for that weekend and we were glad we went with Craighall Garden Guest House. We're both big on being comfortable, no matter how far away we are from home and we felt at home, Lisa made us feel at home. 
As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with greenery, bamboo shoots and walking through the massive wooden gate, I felt like I had been transported to a beautiful oasis, away from all the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. There was a garden we got to spend some time at in the morning, it was try a wonderful experience. Although they don't offer breakfast, there is a lovely restaurant in the vicinity that Lisa recommended to us.

An oriental paradise in the heart of Johannesburg.

Owner Lisa is a scammer! After we booked she informed us there are no rooms available, provided “alternative” place, when we called them, they didn’t have rooms for our dates, called Lisa Jaimieson again, she said  she’ll refund us within an hour. Stopped picking up the phone after that 
 It was 4 days ago. Since then She hasn’t picked up phone nor refunded money. Her listing is still everywhere showing there are rooms available. Avoid this place!!!!!

Scam! Avoid them!!!

We had an incredible and comfortable stay at Craighall Garden Guest House. The owner, Angie, was a delightful host from the moment we made our booking up until we left. She was such a lovely person who was kind, accommodating and concerned, checking in to see if we were comfortable and even suggesting places to eat and see. The guesthouse is perfectly located near plenty of restaurants and bars and the neighborhood itself is safe. The apartment was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Wish we had more time to hang out in the garden area, which is ideal for friends and family to gather in the summer or even winter with blankets.

Highly Recommend Craighall Garden Guest House

I do not recommend this establishment at all.
Firstly no hot water in the bathroom, no plug in the kitchen sink. We were further advised that we would be billed additionally if we were to use the heater. We paid for a month but stayed 3 days. We have a little baby due for a transplant and how are we supposed to stay in a place where we are not even able to soak the babies bottles. On cancellation Angie asked if she could do the payment in 2 installments as she had already spent the money. We agreed, to date only 1 payment has been received and she is not responding to our messages. We furthermore did agree to a compromise as requested by Angie and we told her to deduct a further 3 nights off of the refunded amount. We are extremely disappointed at the lack of response from the owner of this establishment.

Terrible Service!

We indeed enjoyed our stay at Craighall Garden Guest House, the warm welcome and the customer service was out of this world. The owner we always available to assist whenever we needed assistance. I would recommend it to anyone who would need accommodation in Graighall.

We love Angie and the welcome that we have here, it is like being home.  The place is alwaya clean and welcoming.  The peacefulness was wonderful. Angie made us feel like we were family and looked after us well. Thank you.
