I planned my friends bridal shower with parks Gables and we a pleasant stay. The place is clean and looks lovely in it's vintage style 

Beyond Excellent

We stayed here for one night on our way to Blyde River Canyon and Kruger. It's nothing fancy but it has everything you need: the room is well maintained, there is free and good wifi, breakfast is fine, and it's located close enough to the historic centre to have a quick look around before you travel on.

Good place to stay, nothing fancy

We have stayed at Park Gables on several occasions in recent years. It is well located close to Hatfield and the Gautrain, walking distance to shops, Loftus Vorsveld and the University of Pretoria. There is ample parking although the access from busy Park Street is a little difficult at times. 
The accommodation is simple but clean and comfortable. The letdown is the bathrooms. Don't get me wrong they are clean and functional but the showers over the baths make a bit of a mess, water all over the floor. Erica tells me they are considering remodelling which would be a great improvement.
The staff are great, polite and helpful although overall English their is not the best. They provide a good breakfast, either continental or english at an added cost.

As I said, have stayed several times and will stay there again.
