Jacobus and Nishka provided a lovely stay for myself and colleague whilst in the area conducting research. Their knowledge of the area itself proved to be very useful on a work level but also proved interesting and insightful regarding the environment and the history of the area. Guests staying for 2 weeks, I believe, is unusual and they accommodated us and our needs perfectly, all for great value. The lodge itself is situated in a beautiful garden, surrounded by lush green bush and game, close to the banks of the historic Umtamvuna River. I would highly recommend staying here to those visiting Port Edward or just passing through.

Excellent 2 week stay

Jacobus & Nishka would like to thank you guys for the week we stayed at Vuna Valley lodge it was and awesome getaway to a peaceful an quiet surrounding. Loved the rooms and the excellent food that was prepared each day and the wonderful view over the mountains. Would really recommend Vuna Valley Lodge to anyone visiting Port Edward. Will definitely visit again.

Awesome getaway

We stayed at Vuna Valley for 2 nights in January 2018. It was exactly what we had asked for. The dorm room was perfect for us. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. If you love nature and quiteness this place will be for you. We will definatley be back . Thanks guys for a memorable stay.

"Amazing Getaway"

Thanks to the hosts and awesome relaxing family friendly  lodge, pool and beautiful clean rooms and service, extremely affordable,kids enjoyed the open freedom of running wild and seeing the monkeys. Will definitely be back

Relaxing home away from home

We stayed at Vuna Valley Lodge for one night and were properly spoilt by the hosts, Jacobus & Nishka. The natural beauty of the setting, the visit of the blue vervet monkeys and the early morning wake up by the birdlife (& our 3 year old) made the visit memorable. Enjoyed an amazing breakfast on the deck as prepared by Nishka and were then ready for another day of fun in the sun! Highly recommended!
