Had a weekend booking with Sky lodge. What a great experience, we were welcomed by Caroline who was very friendly and helpful. She took us through the lodge and facilities and ensured we were familiar with everything. We had an absolutely wonderful view and privacy. It is close enough to take a drive to town and a good choice for a weekend away. I rate them 5 stars!

Breathtaking views all round. Excellent refreshing environment, friendly staff providing a personal touch to every engagement. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, clean and neat. This place is a great Value for Money.  I would recommend this lodge anytime.

A great Value for Money.

Unfortunately, two of the bedrooms were under renovations and the fumes of the paint was unpleasant. We were not informed prior to our weekend stay, that the house was under renovation which is actually not acceptable. The outside deck was a hazard as some of the wooden slates were loose and broken and it was unsafe to walk on. The air conditioning unit in one of one of the bedrooms made such a noise that it could not be used and the air conditioning units on the second floor, the remote controls for the air conditioning units had to be shared between the bedrooms as they only provided one remote control. In one of the main bedrooms the shower had chicken mesh as a makeshift window which was very unpleasant to shower at night as the cold wind blew in. The evening bugs also came through this opening. In addition, the bathroom also had no curtains and was completely exposed to the elements.

On arrival, calling the General Manager of Sky Lodge was a futile attempt as he did not respond to the message sent. 

The staff on the ground however was very helpful and Robert with his staff tried their best to provide a great service. Unfortunately the gas stove in the kitchen was also faulty as one of the gas plates was not working which the Lodge staff was aware of.

The location of the lodge is fantastic with amazing views but the stay was unpleasant as the basic items such as two bedrooms not being operational and the one bedroom bathroom without having a window is not acceptable. Unless the renovations are completed and the outside wooden deck by the small plunge pool is replaced, as it was very dangerous to walk on, I would not recommend you spend your good money on this location, you will endanger your family and not be able to make use of the deck without worrying about stepping onto broken and loose wooden slates.

Dissapointing Sky Lodge stay as unit offered for bookings under renovations in progress & unsafe walking environment!

We stayed here with our 3 sons, their partners and the grandchildren. 
The accomodation is suitable for such a group. It is well equipped. The swimming pool is on a very nice spot with a very nice view. Communication with Mike was excellent, as from the first e-mail. There was always someone to help us out with small problems. Price quality ratio is good

A great place to be with your (extended) family

Wow! This was exactly what 18 teachers needed, VERY relaxed atmosphere and the management team (Robert and the ladies) were extremely helpful and very professional! We had the time of our lives! We are already booking for next year! Definitely recommend! 

Amazing experience!!

Mike and his team were incredible. Went for a strategic session with my small team. They created a conference setting inside the lodge, which was perfect for our needs. Lovely views, awesome beds and we loved the outside showers! We will definitely be back. Thanx Mike!

What an awesome experience at peace with family. Great atmosphere by the staff and no broken communication by management. Overall a 5 is not enough, so make it a 10!!!

I’m advising you to book your next stay and be one with self and build a safe space to share and find each other as friends and family because the environment allows you!

Experience

Sky Lodge is the perfect place to stay if you are tired of city life and need to relax. The views in all directions are amazing, as are the privacy, peace and quiet. Private Bomas and pools offer the opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. I recently stayed with friends in Sunset Lodge and we loved every minute.  Loadshedding did not bother us at all, due to the solar power. The lodge was equipped with everything we required to do self-catering. There are many wonderful restaurants in the vicinity if you are not in the mood to cook, but for us it was heavenly simply to stay in and enjoy the views. The staff were extremely helpful and kind and we felt safe at all times.  By the way, the mattresses are so comfortable, we slept like logs. We will definitely return.

The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature

Celebrated my 40th Birthday, with Family and Friends and the venue was just perfect. Reasonably priced, privacy and really a home away from home - I would strongly recommend the venue....the pool and view were really the kicker for me...
