We stayed at Casa Dos Milagres for 14 days. The architecture of this round house, the tasteful furnishure and the amount of space are amazing. From the terrace you have a magnificent view of the sea and we even saw whales. The view is even more beautiful from the immense roof terrace where you can see the monument of the most Southern Tip of Africa right in front of the house and where the two oceans meet. We really enjoyed this great place and, partly due to the tips from the owners of the house, it was an excellent base to discover nature and the many beautiful places of the South Cape.

Great house, great stay

The house is perfectly located with a fantastic view. The area is calm and beautiful and a great place to stay and chill as well as visit nearby beaches and cities. Very nice rooms with good beds and more than enough bathrooms.

Spacious house in a perfect area

The house is located in a quiet environment next to the reserve. We arrived in a tidy home with a magnificent view and could see the sun rise AND set in the sea. The fireplace gave us more then enough warmth and cosiness, we didn't need a TV. Towels and facilities were clean. Good value. 

Best view in the southernmost point

we stayed for 3 weeks in Casa Dos Milagres. It is a wondèrful and inspirational place to be, located where Atlantic and The Indian Ocean meet. The house is spacious and due to the big window fronts you feel to be in nature. Everything here is pure and authentic, and it invites you to relax and enjoy. We created wonderful dinners in that wonderful handcrafted kitchen and enjoyed it  then at this big very big family table all together. We did Yoga on the roof terasse, with the singing of a lot of different birds and always the the noise of the oceans... In walk distance you find stores to get the daily things and food or pools at the beach to jump in the ocean. The surroundings offer nice walks to discover this beautiful nature with a big variety of plants and animals and great places to go swimming, either wild waves or calmer in protecting lagunes. I definitely come back, maybe in South Africans winter- or springtime to profite of the nice fireplace at Casa Dos Milagres...

I booked 'Casa Dos Milagres' for our family holiday of a week over early Jan 2016. I booked the whole house - upstairs and downstairs. I enquired before the time if it was suitable for children and Christel,  the agent said it was. I arrived and realised it was not at all child friendly! I was accommodating a one year old,  three year old and six year old. There are two decks with wide metal railings - which are insane. My toddler would lemming straight off ?! Ridiculous to say it is child friendly! A complete lie! There are also steep stairs with no child gates. I phoned Christel and she was very resistant and reluctant to bother the Belgium owner (hence all the glowing reviews from Belgium! ). She disagreed with me and said small children had stayed there before and she'd never had any complaints . She was rude and annoyed by my concern for my children's safety. 
The next day she sent a guy to put some netting with cable ties- for a temporary solution. He tried-but it couldn't be made safe-with gaps that my toddler could still fall down. It was the best he could do. So we had to keep the glass sliding doors closed - in crazy heat. When we absolutely HAD to open them for a bit of a breeze, I was completely on edge and stressed out. NOT what you want from a holiday house! What a disappointment! So dangerous! 

They are saved by the beautiful views and location. The house is really sparsely furnished, cement floors throughout, no headboards. You can hear noise from upstairs. Poorly equipped kitchen - not even coffee & tea left for guests. No curtains in the main upstairs bedroom,  which has fantastic area & fynbos views,  so you wake up with the sun.
