We decided to spend our stay in High Tatras away from big and loud touristic hotels, We came back to this hotel because of great combination of comfort, nature and also because of owner of the hotel, who welcomed us with a big smile :) We spent 2days in a cabin where was everyhting what we needed after a long day skiing. All cabins have a living room with beds, kitchen and bathroom. Everything was great and we will always come back when travelling to High Tatras.

Always coming back when travelling to High Tatras

This place is really great! Rooms are very large, with good balconies and powerful showers, and you also get use of what is, essentially, a house - kitchen, TV area, parking right outside. 

The owner Jaroslav is an amazing guy, extremely accommodating and friendly. He showed us places to go, provided maps, and was around whenever needed (or at the end of the phone) to help. Really interesting to talk to too, and enjoys having friendly jokes with guests. 

Breakfast is available but not on site, its a 5 minute walk away at another hotel. Very good value and more than adequate. 

In terms of the house location, you will probably need a car - there is a bus stop a 5 minute walk away but this is in a remote village and isn't in either Poprad or the touristy areas of the Tatras; you'll also struggle to find a huge variety of evening meals in the area, but there's plenty within a 10 minute drive. Stola itself is really pleasant and has good mountain views. 

One thing to note is that when you book a room Jaroslav does request deposit via bank transfer (as he has no credit card machine). This makes it a little more difficult than average to book, but it's worth it! 

Overall, an excellent place and highly recommended. Thank you for your hospitality Jaroslav!
