Best part was Ibrahim the hotel manager. A fountain of knowledge, very helpful and will do all he can to assist. 
Room was large, clean, with AC, had a large sofa and a balcony. Very comfortable.
Inside property was very clean, large common areas, breakfast served upstairs in a good environment.
Wi-Fi was good through out the property. 

Disliked:
Few slightly odd things, placement of light switch in bath room, no towel rail in bathroom.
Location is safe, but can be dark at night near the hotel if you go out for diner, etc.

Relaxing Environment would recomemend.

If you are the kind of traveler who doesn't bring earplugs as a matter of course and generally stays at brand-name airport hotels, forget it. If you are a little more adventurous, can manage a city in Africa on your own, and just want somewhere safe, quiet(ish) and clean, with lovely staff, this could be for you. 

It won't always be possible, but when we arrived off the overnight flight, expecting to drop our bigger bags in reception, and then be kicked out onto the street until 12/2/4pm when the room was ready, instead we were given a very warm greeting and shown up directly. Result! They also fed and coffee'd us when we'd napped for 45 mins.

PROS: The rooms are immaculately clean, the showers hot and reliable, and the staff welcoming and very helpful. Ibrahima speaks good English, Amy and Gaetan speak French helpfully slowly. 
CONS?: Can be a little hard to find (even for taxi drivers, so note the phone number) and it's NOT DOWNTOWN AT ALL. 

For what we wanted - a quiet base to acclimatize to Dakar for a few nights, with people to help out if we got stuck, it was ideal. When we return at the end of our month, we'll stay here again. Can't give five stars - only because it isn't rammed with amenities and somehow 100m from downtown Dakar but also silent after 10pm. For us, though, great.
