Excell4and well located. Very spacious apartment, which was clean and well presented. Good comms with the owner and front desk. Would recommend to anyone visiting VRSA

A Great Place Bring Your Pet!

Smallish but clean and comfortable room in a quiet part of town.  This guest house's USP is the view from the terrace, especially in the afternoons.  In the mornings there's a heavy dew in winter, so if you want to sit down, you should take a towel!

Roof with a view

Wonderful stay at this perfectly located unit which was a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with a little living room. The building is easy walking distance close to the town square, restaurants, the ferry to Spain, shops, and the train station. A short drive to Monte Gordo beach (lovely!!). There is even a beach at the other end of VRS Antonio that is about 2 miles away that we walked to. The unit was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. We were slightly challenged with the A/C which shut off on its own when it reached the desired temp, but did not resume automatically to maintain the temp. There might have been a solution to this that eluded us and we didn’t bother to ask bc and managed fine, either by just re-starting the A/C ourselves or, in the nice cool and breezy evenings, by opening the many windows. We took advantage of the roof deck which gives you a 360 view of the river and town, including a pair of storks in a gigantic nest on the chimney-top of an adjacent building! Ours was a delightful stay and I only wish we had had more than 4 days to explore the town and other nearby Algarve towns.

Wonderful apartment in a peaceful Algarve town

It is very good for the price. Simple room with double bed and a small bathroom.
The Owner Cesare was very nice and helpfull telling us where to go in town.
The Hotel is 5m walk from the historic plaza, very well located.
The staff are all very nice and the rooms was very clean.

Simple, value for money right in the centre of Vila Real de Santo Antonio

This hotel is centrally located, steps away from restaurants, cafes, markets church. Also, the waterfront is just two blocks away and the ferry to cross to Spain is within steps.  

The hotel is basic but very clean with everything one needs: WiFi, TV, nice hot water pressure.  The owner Valentina is a lovely lady and will provide recommendations on anything you need to know.  I highly recommend Villa Marquez.

Great little hotel

This residential proved to be an excellent choice in the center of VR. Clean rooms, confortable beds, friendly hosts on a quiet street near the main town square is after all all one needs. Too bad they do not offer breakfast. 

Great bed in great location 

A little tough to find, but definitely worth the effort. Very friendly, very clean, and a superb location. To be fair, the walls are a bit thin, but the clientele are quiet and it’s on a quiet street. Plus it’s two blocks from the ferry dock and riverfront promenade, and three blocks from the main square with its cafes, restaurants, shops (especially fabrics), and Saturday market. And you can’t beat the price!

Excellent value,really enjoyed our stay.Made to feel very welcome.
Would stay again, tried to book for my birthday but unfortunately no rooms!!
Ideal location for us.
The Owners are lovely nothing too much trouble.
