The apartment was very well-situated, near the marina, restaurants and city center. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the ferries/taxi-boats that connect to Ria Formosa islands (Armona, Culatra, Farol, Deserta) and their warm and pleasant beaches.

It was a family trip in my case, my wife and my 2 kids. The appartment had 2 wc and was well equipped: washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, wi-fi, a nice table in the balcony for breakfast time...

The (rooftop) pool is small. For us this was not an important feature, but those who seek more pool time than beach time should take it into account, as the pool may easily get crowded.

In both check-in and check-out the service was very efficient. 

Summing up: I definitely recommend Marina Village for vacations in Olhão.

Well-situated and well-equipped apartment, family friendly

We were a total of 5 people, 2 couples and myself, staying in this stunning 3 bedrooms 2 and 1/2 bath AIRB&B apartment in Olhao, Portugal.
Located on the 2nd floor and accessible by modern top of the art elevator. Apartment was fully furnished as expected.
1 master bedroom with large bed and private bathroom, 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds and full bathroom outside in hallway, and a third bedroom with a bunk bed. I stated in this room and shared the outside bathroom. 
Large living room space with great L shape terrace since apartment was a corner unit. Modern kitchen with all appliances.
Roof top swimming pool.
Plenty of outside parking in front of building.
Walking distance to downtown Olhao, 
2 supermarkets nearby (Lidl & continente)

Marina village AIRB&B apartment rental.

Large modern apartments well equipped with ensuites and good size kitchen lounge and balcony, most with side sea views. Small pool on roof for each Lot and areas of sun and shade with sun beds and great views to the islands. Plenty of parking available. The apartments are in 6 blocks adjacent to the Real Marina Hotel the first two being run by the hotel and the others run privately. There is a promenade to the ferry terminal 2 km away which passes the fish and vegetable market buildings shops and lots of reasonably priced  restaurants. 
The town is the focal point for  ferries to Armona, Culatra and Farol islands and journeys take 20 -45 mins which cost around 4€ return. There are many supermarkets around the town with on the west  Lidl Continente, carrefour Aldi to the east and  Pingo Doce near the ferry.
Good bits
Very Portuguese and not touristy like the western Algarve. Great markets with Saturday markets also outside the two market halls. Clothes on sale in that with home made and grown food.
Picturesque marina and Ria Formosa national park with lots of wildlife.
Boat trips run fairly frequently and specialist trips to see dolphins and sea horses or birds.
Lamborghini Hourican in the hotel car park shows the type of people staying there

Not so good
The Village area is looking overgrown with weeds now commonplace especially in the roads around the private blocks.
There is a smell of sewage in one place along the promenade.
There is no beach, at low tide it is muddy and attracts lots of birds. If you want a beach you have to go on a ferry to the islands which have miles of sand or drive to Fuseta

Good quality apartments

Great vacation spot with luxury apartments for rent by day or week with access to old town walking distance10-12 min with plenty of restaurants and old fashioned fresh market worth visiting for fresh food and fish if you wanted to cook . great prices on all produce.

Marina Olhao condos

Just returned from 4 days holiday to Olhao Portugal.  Marina  Village apartments are really first class.  Very well laid out.  Beautiful balcony.  We checked in through hotel  next door and found staff very friendly and helpful.  Olhao is a lovely town/village with plenty of restaurants and good  markets.  The addition of "Emotions" bar/cafe is really welcome and is a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. Will defintely be returning.

5* apartment

First time to Portugal and we couldn't have asked for more.The apartment was 5star and had everything we needed.very well equipped and great location.We had all the information for the local area and was so easy to get round without a car, even with two small children.Thank you so much Lynn Ashman. We will definitely be back very soon.

Great apartment and location

This was our second stay at the Marina village apartments in Olhao after staying in September last year. We had such a lovely stay last year that we decided to return, and we were not disappointed.

Olhao is a lovely relatively small town/fishing village.  There are a few tourists wandering around, but also many locals.  I remember last year being keen to find a place that was not overrun with tourists and still had some typical Portuguese character and I think Olhao is a good fit.  The ferries over to the islands on the Ria Formosa (Culatra/Farol, Armona etc) mean you're not far from nice beaches to either walk or swim.  Equally walking around the old town by the water is also pleasant.

As for the apartments, they are lovely and spacious, and about 5-10mins walk into the main part of the old town.  They still have a new feel and offer all the amenities you would need - from things such as towels for the roof top pool to sufficient number of dishwasher tablets.  (The last thing you really want to do on holidays is go shopping for cleaning items!).  I visited with my parents who were visiting from afar and the apartment size was great so we didn't feel on top of each other.  There's also a Continente supermarket and Aldi nearby (walkable).

As we hired a car this time, the free and plentiful parking outside the apartment was handy.

The staff have been very friendly on both visits.  Overall, we really enjoyed our second visit and we're already talking about when we can plan to come again.
