It could be a good place but desperately needs maintenance, especially plumbing ans electrics.

The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. We met her son and our son was allowed to play with his toys. Bent over backwards to ensure we had a nice stay. Excellent value for money

Brilliant

we arrived quite late for our destination for the day, and as we didn't want to look for accommodation too late, we choose this establishment. the rooms are very basic. nothing to write home about. the lights in the room, can easily be replaces by a candle! the room was clean. we were told that breakfast will be serve by 0800. there was no one to serve or make preparations. the bar/reception area was filthy from the night before. at 0820, the receptionist came, claiming we have nothing to complain about as the breakfast suppose to be serve at 0800 sharp (???) ha ha ha

THE HOTEL LOOKS GOOD BUT THE MANAGEMENT, IS A CATASTROPHE!

This was an affordable hotel, great for a 1 night stay in the region. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was very decent and tasty, specially taken in consideration the asking price of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The wifi speed is good, but is very limited to the central areas of the hotel. If you are in the far rooms, you wont get a signal in the room (like it happened to me).

An affordable place on the outskirts of the city

Great location - right on roadside - simple fifteen minute walk form bus station but you could prabably just get dropped at the door if you know the language and know where you want off.

Comfortable room with hot shower ( given time ) and nice comfy bed. Clean and simple.

wonderful attentive friendly service. although ashamed to really not know any Portoguese the landlady spoke useful English as well as fluent French and Spanish - and was keen and quick to speak a to more with google to help

Generous breakfasts and good cheap evening meals. Supermarkets nearby too.
Lovely place to walk and cycle or sit in the sun. Nice cherries in garden and great local honey; very authentic area with lovely old town in Miranda full of genuine shops as well as tourist bait.

Municipal swimming pool five minutes away with indoor and out door pools and great wee park by Fresno river. Good back roads for safe cycling with mild sense of adventure and discovery. nice wee villages.All about two hours drive from Porto or a simple and cheap four hour coach trip. all photos show nearby views rather than the hotel. Fantastic Find - the hotel with the black roof N218/N221

It was only one night. The hotel was having some kind of refurbishment. Our room was big and clean. the bathroom was huge. The breakfast was perfect. It was far from the city center, so one might need a car. It has a private park, and the owners are very kind.The major drawback was the absence of wi-fi in our room.

Simple, with a great breakfast

Its out of town on the main road (needs a new sign) but just down from the Supermercardo. Bit hot at night - needs cross ventilation by opening up all the windows. Very friendly and helpful staff. Scenic old town and spectacular Gorge. Some nice walking
