The most beautiful castle in Poland. It was fun to take a guided tour and to find out more about the mysterious past of this amazing place. Visiting in winter is a good idea because this place is more quiet. Good thing is that you can also book a room in the hotel

Best castle in Poland

Having read about this place I had high hopes since I Love castels and secret passages and to sleep in odd places.
Having read that I could walk around and Explore on my own I learned that now I had to take a tour to do that. No English tour and the info om papper covered maybee a third of what the guide said. Also the Castle was very loud because of a lot of children who stayed had a Harry Potter theme. It is a good idea but better to this on nights rhat other guests are not staying. No information if it was ok to Explore castle in the evening so I stayed in the room. Good things very nice room and good food, otherwise......
Also a shame that the tower was closed.
Had someone asked about how my stay was at checkout I would have told them, but that did not happen.

Ok stay, could have been Great

The hotel experience was brilliant. Nice comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious. I must recommend the spa, truly relaxing.

Now, a negative point, although a pretty big one. I was walking from the spa to my hotel room, when I came across a guided tour around the castle. Trying not to interrupt, I walked around the group when suddenly the tour guide looked at me and very rudely told me to leave the room immediately as "he was doing a tour" . I was shocked.  I explained I didn't know the place and was trying to find my way. He was not interested and told me to find a different way. He humiliated me in front all this whole group. I was not interrupting in any way, but quietly making my way around the room. I do not know all the passageways in the castle, and i am not required to. If he found my fleeting presence unwanted, he could have said so politely. This nearly ruined what was a lovely relaxing day. I have already reported this incident to the reception and I hope this will be dealt with appropriately.

Great but nearly ruined

What's nice about the place is the castle itself, its surroundings and the restaurant - both the food and the Ladies were fantastic!
To spend a night however, it's not ideal. The first surprise for us was that although we were guests of the hotel, we were supposed to pay for visiting the castle. Second incovenience was the fact, that although we had booked a superior room, there was a huge group of children above our head, very noisy, party every day and it was impossible to relax. It not exactly what we expected when booking this type of accomodation. In addition, the superior (thematic) room was very small, didn't look special in any way. There was no kettle in the room, the bathroom was not comfortable at all - no space to put our stuff. Most of our belongings we needed to keep out of the bathroom. No curtains or window covers - in summer when the sun rises after 4 o'clock it's difficult to sleep.

nice as a castle to visit, not a good choice as a hotel

Our polish guests surprised us with a visit and a stay at the hotel. Castle was built in 1247. Many changes have occurred over the years by different owners. We took the tour even though it was in Polish. They gave us a English handout to help and our Polish family explained the rest. We climbed the tower and visited the dungeon. Our hotel room and private modern bathroom were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We rented 3 rooms for the 3 couples and each was decorated in a different theme. Great place to stay. The breakfast was very limited. Take the lake boat ride before you leave and get a great view from the water.

Nice place for an adventure

We spent Easter time in this castle. All rooms were booked, it was more than a hundred people. We had special breakfasts and suppers because of Easter. We could also visit the whole castle with a guide. This is 3-star-hotel and this you should expect - nothing more, nothing less. But still, it is a nice place.

The castle is actually really cool and we didn't have to pay much. We booked a room for 30 € from Booking.com a few hours before we arrived. It was worth the price to sleep a night in a real castle, but there wasn't anything else that special in the hotel. The room was really cold. There's a sauna in the basement but it's very basic. They offer massage but I couldn't get it for the same day. There's a restaurant that offers good food and a nice breakfast was included.

The Czocha Castle is a very beautiful place set over a lake in the middle of the forest. A trip to this place provides a lot of lovely beautiful views during drizzle autumn day. A good impression blurs a castle's crew attitude to clients and to each other. A first thing is that the price for a tour around the Castle is the same as always but during the tour we were informed that a few of chambers are not avaiable for tourists, also the Castle Tower. In the same time a lady in the ticket office said that all is fine and avaiable. A guide who was leading us in the end of the tour just said he is not responsible for what she is saying. Lack of communication between the crew looks very bad outside the company what is a second bad thing. The last one is a way which the guide used to desribe stories of princes and owners of the Castle. In my opinion was quite vulgar.

Beautiful place with interesting history and lack of respect for the client

Great experience. Love it. Wonderful place to spend a night or more...that one can dream of.
We did spend 4 nights in tower (Room 12). Nice place with own bathroom/shower. Beds are small (not an American style), however comfortable enough and for the price it was worthy. We were a part of the Castle anyway. 
If you have a chance to participate in a "Night"  ... this is scary but well done. Not for a young children.
Breakfast ... amazing. Everyone can find something to fill a stomach.
