29 reviewsI visited Gdansk 8th May for a four night break. It was bachelor party with twenty lads and in truth went because it was cheap apparently. Well I certainly was not disappointed on that score. Even in the tourist old town the most we paid for a pint was ten zloty, around two pound. Food was very reasonable as well with some lovely restaurants. I was surprised at how much the old town was like Prague old town . There is a lovely canal which has nice pubs and restaurants along it off the market square. You can take excursions from here to other resorts as well as experiencing a trip on a mock pirate galleon. Street musicians are around busking which adds to a very pleasant atmosphere. We stayed in an apartment for four just of the main street in the old town about 700 yds from the canal. It was called Kaminese Zacrise which was cheap,clean and very well located. There was a twenty four hour reception. Each room had a TV and washing machine as well as a shop twenty yards away which opened late. All in all an excellent trip which I shall be repeating with my wife.
