It’s a bid off when you first arrive as there is scaffolding everywhere but the rooms are behind and actually really lovely. We upgraded to a studio and had a single and double bed and little kitchen area and patio with chairs and a table. Breakfast was pretty good. We had two eggs and toast and ham the first day. I was excited to have the same the next day but they actually cooked an omelette which I don’t like. Ideally they would check with you first. Great for the price though 

This hostel is nice, right next to a island hopping tour reception, close to beaches. The free breakfast was nice. The room was a bit small bit it was well air-conned. There were also multiple, warm showers.

Stayed here for a night. Good enough place to stay as it is a little quiet in the neighborhood. Short walking distance to the food places and the beach. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Serves good breakfast and unli coffee, as well. One bathroom just needed a little cleaning and repairing though as it was a little moldy but the other bathrooms were good enough so, just used those ones. Overall, had a decent stay.

Stayed here as a solo traveller in January. Walking distance to the beach, local restaurants etc. 
Clean room with air con and a fan! Shared bathroom but this was never a problem (could perhaps have been a bit cleaner). 
Great breakfasts every day, you didn’t have an option of what to eat but this allowed me to try things that I wouldn’t normally have chosen, and it was great! 
Really helpful staff, even removing a spider from my room in the early hours!! 
WiFi worked brilliantly throughout my stay, didn’t quite stretch to the room all the time but was happy to sit in the living room where the router was!
Was hesitant booking this place with horror stories of building sites and scorpions but having now stayed here I would really recommend it!

Worth the price

Great place to stay for a few days

Overnighted here on our way to the paradise that is Backpacker island (google it).  Wanted to spend as little time in the mess that El Nido has become 

Room good.  Nice bed.  Clean.  Aircon and fan

Downsides curtains let in all the lights. I’m so over shared bathrooms and finding both adjacent bogs blocked just did my nut in... 

breakfast was good though and staff friendly.  Ok for a short stay - couldn’t imagine sharing a bathroom with animals for long 

Short stay 

Lemme start with the good ones: Nice location, it's pretty much in the center of everything, short walk from the beach. People working there are nice, and always smiles. It has a breakfast included, nothing much to write home about, food tends to get repetitive, but can't complain.

Now for the bad.. the real bad: They're infested with bed bugs. My friend got real nasty bites all over the body (see pics). Unless you want to risk yourself get bitten or take those bugs and eggs with you home, find some other place, fast. The room we got is a Studio. At 1st it looks ok, a little dark, and musty but servicable enough, but the bathroom doesn't have an exhaust or windows, it's always moist, black molds are sprouting in the ceiling and shower curtains. It's disgusting. We stayed there for 4 days, they never cleaned out the room, threw away the trash, or replenish toilet paper unless you explicitly ask them to. They never change the towels as well (which i think are dirty already to begin with, cos I broke out like crazy).

Seriously, don't skimp on comfort. El Nido is a very nice place, and even if you're going to be out island hopping most of the day, imagine sleeping on a bed bug infested bed at night after a tiring day. So, seriously, there are a lot of accomodations in El Nido, I suggest finding some other place.

Go find some other place, fast.

Awful stay. Friend had bed bugs in his bed when he woke on the second morning. Host was kind to be fair but wasn’t able provide us with 3 beds (which is what we had booked via booking.com). WiFi was terrible. Shower pretty poor and general mouldy about the bathroom. Location is good to be fair. Price was reasonable. Walkable to a lot of near amenities in El Nido. Overall, wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Poor stay

Less than one hour after booking this room, it was not possible for me to stay in this city due to a big coming typhoon.

I didn't entered in the room and at my arrival I immediatly asked to the staff to cancel my booking. They can't do anything for me and the direction of Byky doesn't want to refund me even if i didn't entered on the room.

The staff wasn't responsive at all and the direction stop our conversation during a call. They were very unpleasant ! 

This hotel stole my money and they problably rent the same room on an other website. You should'nt go to this place, now it's up to you.

Worst experience in Philipinnes

Pros breakfast ok , bed comfortable , good location for town and island hopping .                                   Cons advert misleading you think you are getting a private bathroom in dearer rooms but you get a dirty smelly badly maintained shared bathroom . Did not see any cleaning done in the 3 days we were there staff lay around looking at there phones . See through curtains 
Would not stay here again ! 

Very disappointing

It is construction area, they are building new apartments. Place is very old, bit dirty. Most rooms are with shared bathrooms, beds are full of bed bugs or flies. We got red spots all over the body, and it's itching. Wifi is only at 1 place on property. Breakfast is poor, very strange ingredients, for example cold mashed potato and 10g of meat chopes... Generally El Nido is not place you should be more than 2 days. Dirty, old, devastated little Town
