I stayed at Sol de Selva twice during my travels in Peru and it's excellent value. It's run by an extremely efficient, helpful and genuinely friendly family and the rooms are comfortable. Mine (I was in 202) had a large, comfy bed, air conditioning, cable TV and spotlessly clean bathroom (plenty of hot water in the shower). Soap, shampoo and plenty of towels were provided. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the daily breakfasts were tasty and a welcome start to the day. Being only two blocks from the main plaza, close to plenty of tourism companies and one block away from the best supermarket in Tarapoto, it really can't be beat for location,value and comfort and. 'A home away from home' is a bit of a cliche, but that's exactly what staying at Sol de Selva feels like... it's a totally relaxing, clean, friendly place situated in the best part of Tarapoto.
