During my trip through peru this was one of the best hostals I’ve been. the place was warm and the internet worked very good and was very fast. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are big and you have also enough space in the bathroom. You have access to really hot water the whole day. The rooms are clean and very bright. We are travelling with backpacks so we were very happy to stay at this place.

Slightly cold but nice and not very crowded. Very close to main square. Hot water atbanybtime and very helpful staff 24/7. No problem with laundry and if you need a beer you can buy it atbthe hostel. Recommended for shopping and city stay. Convenient location close to train station and few minutes walk to Harbour.

Nice place to stay 

I found the hotel excellent value. The hot water, tv and wifi all worked perfectly even if there was a little wait for the water to warm. The location is an easy walk to the main square and restaurants. Yes it is cold. I headed under the bedclothes at night, but then so is the entiire altiplano, especially in mid winte, where the tendancy is to add layers rather than instal heating

Good Value

After getting out of a taxi and finding my preferred Hostal booked out I was happy to find this one open.  Their English is not great but it is adept for telling costs, location, and what's on in Puno.  Room was large and was amazed that cable tv was included in the price (50 solas a night).  Old style 70's ambience charmed. Location of two to three blocks away from Lima Street, the pedestrian eat street, was awesome.  Breakfast is small, but when I travel that is a perfect way to start the day.
Negatives are the usual highland Peruvian ones of far too soft lighting and cold rooms - but that may be a peccadillo as heating may be so expensive at this altitude.  Some sleeplessness, but that is my reaction to altitude.

Quiet, Tidy and Close to City Centre

I stayed here as part of a tour to Puno. The good side was letting me in at 5.45am despite not staying there until the following night. Breakfast was basic, but reasonably priced. There was no bar or facilities to talk of otherwise. The trip to the town centre was about 15 minutes. Don't expect too much.
