Good common area, curtains on the bunks. Place to charge your phone and was clean enough.

Lockers are big but limited, lucked out getting one from a guy leaving, so don't count on getting one for sure. Would have knocked it down a bit if I didn't get one.

Staff were friendly and place was clean. 

Good vibe

The hostel is located in walking distance to the city center and at the same time you are fast on the highway to Preikestolen and Kjerag. So for us it was a great location. The hostel's decor is really cool and makes you want to hang out in the common area - what pretty much everyone does. The staff is friendly and very helpful. In the evening everyone gathers at the dinner table when everyone prepared their food and then you share your experiences and tips for the region. It was a really nice and cheap stay (for Norway...).

Great atmosphere

This little place near the hot springs in Katherine NT is well worth a visit. Excellent coffee roasted on site. Food was modern and delicious.Great breakfast, brunch,or lunch. We went once after stumbling upon it then returned for more.

Pop up cafe

Booked this place because it was close to the hike I wanted to do. Quite far from.everything else, where you have to walk more than 20m to get to the marina and city centre.
Super noisy rooms (bunk beds) as the doors are constantly being open and closed with guests coming in and out. I had to sleep two nights with my hear plugs and my blindfolder.
Internet is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful (volunteers).
If not noisy I would definitely come back. They have lockers for your belongings (free) and kitchen where you can cook. Good showers and toilets as well.

Backpackers natural habitat

Bad location, terrible staff, decrepit amenities. I've stayed in a fair amount of hostels, and I've never been treated so rudely by staff, nor have I ever seen a building in such bad shape. There were two toilets and both were barely functional. The staff were there for their own purposes. I woke up after my third night there with bites all over my face and when I talked to the staff member in charge she literally just said "I'm sorry" and went back to making coffee. 

In terms of planning hikes in the area (the main reason you should go to Stavanger) - none of the staff had done any of the trips so they literally just pointed to the wall, or told me to talk to the tourism bureau in Stavanger (which was always closed when I walked there).
