Our stay at Casitas Pacific was an excellent stay. The rooms were really clean, ac was great and service was impeccable. The staff was also amazing which made it a comfortable experience. We would recommend staying here during your time in Guasacate.

Excellent stay

he hotel itself and the rooms are really nice. Unfortunately the Service and the communications is not great at all.
Still waiting for any answer of my mails.
I wanted to book directly and not via any platform as I know there is a fee for them. But booking directly is taking a long time.
Before arrival I asked if it is possible to pay with credit card, and they answered yes and didn’t mention that there is a fee of 15%. I only brought cash for addition things as I knew there is no ATM around.
I travel a lot and never experienced that high fees in Nicaragua!
So I couldn’t enjoy my trip as I didn’t had enough cash to book more stuff at the place.
All in all the stay there costs me at the end 20% more than I expected to pay. As they had a bad change rate as well!!
They didn’t really give you advices where you can go for yoga or surf class. Just gave me a number. Same here, they told me a wrong price for it. So it was higher as well.
After one night I was told I have to change the room, because there was a problem with the problem.
Found out that they had another booking - so why not be honest?
I didn’t get any help to found a shared taxi. I was told that no one will check out that date. Just got an overpriced offer for a taxi by my own. At the end 7 more people checked out this day.
Food was good. Could be more variety for vegetarians/vegans. It’s the first hotel I stayed where you have to pay for refilled water.
Rooms are nice and the Restaurant with beach view and hammocks are beautiful.
Location is nice, but if you want to go surfing you have to walk for around 20minutes.
So if you stay there make sure to bring more cash. And organise your things by your own.

Beautiful hotel, but no good communication and extra fees

Amazing experience at Casitas Pacific. It is a small hotel with 8 rooms and a very relax and cozy vibe. The beach of Guasacate is really one of my favorite in the whole pacific coast of Nicaragua. Teresa, the super friendly and accommodating owner, and her team made sure we were fine and enjoying. The food is so delicious that we ended up eating all meals at the hotel.

The very best in playa Guasacate

Casitas Pacific is a gem. Oceanfront. Delicious and healthy food. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and professional staff.  The beach itself is great for long walks, watching the waves crash, and enjoying  brilliant sunsets.  We have traveled extensively in Costa Rica, the carribean and Mexico so we have many hotels to compare to Casitas Pacific. In terms of location,  great food, clean and comfortable rooms, this property gets 5 stars. We will return!

Casitas Pacific, a Nicaraguan gem.

I had the most amazing stay at Casitas Pacific. Among all the place around Guasacate beach in Popoyo Nicaragua, Casitas Pacific  was the most charming place I found. The rooms are beautiful and simple with a cute and cozy interior, the location is perfect, as it it is directly at the beach and the overall setting is more than charming with a lovely Nicaraguan beach vibe. The whole staff was very welcoming and warm and whenever I had a question they were very supportive. For breakfast there is selection of several options such as avocado toast and eggs, pancakes, granola and a couple more which are included in the overall price. I extended my stay a couple of times since I had such great experience. Thanks a lot to the whole Casitas team for making vacation so special  <3

Beautiful casitas & amazing service

Just left casita pacific hotel and we miss it already.
 The place is beautiful and right on the water!

Thé hôtel property is well maintained by the groundskeepers and the hotel owner.  The cleaning ladies are very attentive, very thorough and incredibly nice.
The restaurant staff are also very attentive, kind, quick and efficient!
Réception staff are there to help and make sure you have everything you need! Upon check in the young man working reception kindly helped me haul my massive suitcase up to my room! 

Last but not least, the owners, well, they were also so fabulous! They have the kindest hearts as they have « adopted » a stray dog that is quite ill. It was beautiful to hear that they are doing everything they can do save this dog that has been very neglected. 
Please stay here or visit their restaurant when you’re in the area! You will not be disappointed! Promise!!

WOW!!!!!! A must place to stay and eat!

Cannot comment on the stay, only visited to eat lunch/dinner. The lady taking our order was extremely unfriendly and made us feel very unwelcome. Sat down after ordering, looking forward to a decent meal. Unfortunately that too was subpar. The chocolate "smoothie" (supposedly with cacoa nibs, avocado, dates, yogurt) tasted like Hershey's milk. The burger was average and pina colada wasn't bad. Chicken tacos were a little funky, but bearable. All was served without napkins, or condiments, nor did anyone check in while eating. The employees looked miserable. I wish we would've eaten elsewhere. It's really a shame since the venue is so pretty.

Bad Food, Worse Service, Pretty Place

Had a great time at Casitas Specific.
Would've been a 5 star review if it wasn't for one of the waiters rude attitude.
Miurel was definetely very nice to us and always on top of everything if we needed help.
The lady at the front desk of the restaurant was extra special. Loved the way she remembered my sons name.
Didnt get the chance to say goodbye so if you are reading this. Thanks for everything. Will recommend for everybody to stay.

Great time in Semana Santa

I have stayed her previously (fantastic decision, with several options for size of room and amenities), but this review is purely for the on-site restaurant.  There doesn't appear to be a separate TripAdvisor restaurant listing for Casitas Pacific.

My wife and I enjoyed a leisurely late breakfast at the beachside restaurant at Casitas Pacific last week.  When I say "beachside" I mean literally you step off the dining area deck directly onto the sand.  The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a variety of seating options, all under a palm-topped palapa/rancho.  You can either access it via the beach or from the "main drag" one road in the community.  

When we were there, the restaurant was open for breakfast and lunch, until 4pm daily.  

We enjoyed the Chocolatier smoothie (cacao nibs, avocado, yogurt, dates, milk) and the banana / peanut butter pancakes which included a fresh fruit cup (banana and papaya) and choice of coffee/ice coffee/juice.  Everything was excellent!  The service was attentive without being intrusive.  Prices were fair for the quality of the food.  You could surely spend a bit less for a more local (think eggs, rice/beans, etc.) but this place is terrific.  Especially if you care about having an amazing view with your meal!

Amazing breakfast spot right on the beach

I don’t know where to start with how great this place is! My wife and I stayed for three nights and were very sad to leave.

Our room was super cool, the second floor of a casita. A thatched hut build style but with screen material all around the interior roof framing to keep out mosquitos and jungle critters which seemed to be effective. Room was immaculately clean and comfortable, bathroom was very nice, modern and clean as well. The room didn’t have AC but it did have a strong ceiling fan which was plenty adequate for us.

We loved the omelettes with the homemade toast in the morning and both the fish and chicken tacos were fantastic! Everything that we tried was very good, and it seemed that people from other hotels in the area were coming by to have their meals here. And the staff was always warm and friendly and accommodating and tolerant of our poquito espanol. 

We visited during the rainy season, which consisted of some rain late at night and mostly clear, warm and sunny days, lucky for us? Or maybe thats just normal? Anyhow it was perfect and the beaches were clean and beautiful and practically empty aside from a few surfers. Great days swimming in the ocean, crazy sunsets, nice walks down the beach to tide pools and rock formations. Plenty of cool stuff to do.

We rented a medium 4x2 suv from Managua airport and it was fine for the roads to get there. There were some big puddles from previous rain but nothing problematic. Just be sure to take the route that goes via Rivas - the “shortcut” I wouldn’t recommend unless you are looking for off-road adventure!

Also the guys who came to do the brick-oven pizza pop-up menu were very cool and the pizza was great. Nice surprise. I never would have thought to try the pizza in nicaragua but it was fantastic!

Overall the whole setup at casitas pacific is very well thought out and it makes for a relaxing, fun and really unforgettable environment. Can’t wait to go back and can’t recommend it strongly enough! Thank you for having us!
