In January we spent 6 nights at this centrally located motel and wholeheartedly recommend it for the following reasons: its peaceful surroundings and lovely garden; for the location, close to town and a short walk from Kerikeri market, but at the same time secluded; for the modern decor in the main bedroom, bathroom and kitchen; the spacious terrace; for the distance between units and the privacy; for the genuinely dog friendly owner, Melanie, who was welcoming, pleasant, friendly. We loved hearing Morepork and Kiwi at night; that was very special. The summer days and nights were hot and dry, but our unit had a new and efficient heat pump to lower the temperature, which ensured a relaxing night's sleep. What an amazing find! On the main road but zero road noise. 
Each Villa is different, I’m guessing they all have their own charm. Everything you need plus 10 times more should you need it. 
Absolutely spotless, charming and very affordable. The hosts are very welcoming, I cannot recommend Central Cottages highly enough.

Great Cottages, different houses throughout the property catering for 2-8 people, home away from home, tasteful, peaceful and close to town and restaurants. Great if you have large groups for family gatherings everyone can have their own cottage/space but be together. Cottages are on fabulous grounds

We stayed in a studio cottage  for 4 nights recently and couldn’t have been more comfortable. The unit was clean and well supplied with what was needed. There was plenty of room, a comfortable bed and chairs a and a good shower. Plenty of storage space too. Set in a beautiful garden and close to the town. Very obliging hosts.. highly recommended

We have stayed twice here in the past month with our boxer dog.
The cottage Bothy was really very adequate for our two nights this week.
A lovely bed looking into lush palm trees and gardens.
Although they don’t usually take dogs our aging boxer is always well behaved, and so he was accepted.. the little kitchen is all you require for overnighting and the shower room spotless.

Charming and friendly Central Cottages, Kerikeri

Excellent accomodation

Quiet,safe and excellent clean facilities

This accommodation was booked by another person in our party of three couples.  We all had different types of accommodation with ranging prices.  We did only book a week prior and in the high season.  There was still accommodation available at other places in Kerikeri when driving round.  We arrived after 3pm and were the first of our party to arrive.  Chatting with the owner we selected one of the cottages sight unseen, when shown to the cottage was instantly overwhelmed at the heat in the cottage, it was not shaded as other cottages, and was attached to owners accommodation.  The sitting area looked like it had been a garage at some point and was tiled,
The deck area was in full sun, temp was 29 degrees, so very warm.  Even with the bedroom closed off and the aircon going it took some time to cool down.  There were no window dressings on the kitchen window and glass door, so full sun going on and the fridge struggling.  The decor was tired and old fashioned.  Water pressure in the shower was great!  Kitchenette was well serviced with more than the usual amenities.  Thought the price was steep for what appeared to be an addition to the accommodations, no pool etc.
