We spent two nights in this lodge. The view from the lodge is stunning. Andrea is a nice host and very helpful. The ECO Tour recommended by Andrea was really interesting and gave  a good insight into NZ conservation projects .

Great View on Marlborough Sound

Very lovely view indeed. But poor quality Breakfast, very basic, just powder coffee, no hot meal. and bathroom not attached to the room. Platter just OK. Not our best stay. Looks like we over paid the location and view.

Over priced, under delivery

I stayed at this property this month with my husband. The best thing about this property is the location and the view. Believe me its a raw beauty.... nestled within the pine and rimu trees overlooking the bay... this is a wonderland. One can sit on the patio whole day doing nothing but enjoying the view of the bay and the greenery around.... the sky keeps on changing colours to add spice to the entire picture. Yes, its postcard view. The room we stayed was the king room with patio. It was a decent and self sufficient room. There was a small kitchenette which was very operational with toaster and microwave and fridge. There was a seperate sitting area, dinning area and a small cozy bedroom. We could view the bay from every area which is the USP of this property. Even the bathroom has a window opening towards the sea. The bathroom as well as living/bed rooms have a heater which is needed as in Picton the weather is unpredictable. It rained alot during our stay so the heater was very essential as the temperatures dropped with winds blowing at high speed. The hostess Andrea is very warm and helpful. She takes care to arrange your breakfast tray depending on ur choices. And she has some wonderful hot chocolate drink.... This place is away from the hustle bustle of the town and if you like to be with nature  ( sea on one side and hills on other) then this is your place to go.... the rooms offer full privacy and its much like a hotel rather than bed n breakfast place. I wish it had a tub bath as after doing adventurous activities in Picton, one would like to dip oneself in the hot tub. But then the location and the comfort of the room made up for it. 

I strongly recommend this place in Picton as it is tranquil and comfortable. Its around 15 minutes drive to the centre.

Wonderland amongst the bushes overlooking the bay

The room was comfortable, well equipped, and with a terrace and a fantastic view! 
The hosts were extremely nice as well. 
The place is about 15 mn drive from Picton and 5 mn drive from a pleasant little beach.

Spectacular view

The view was great, and is a great place to BBQ. The hosts gave us a warm welcome wich made us feel at home. We even got some lemmons from them. There was a tv, good wifi, toaster, microwave, ... The place was very clean.

I will never forget the magnificent views from this place, the bird life, the walks, the kayaking, so much to do and see.

A Fantasic place to stay

Got to Picton late as ferry was delayed so didn't go further than Picton. Found this excellent accomodation. Wish we had more time to stay a second night. Sat on our balcony and saw the ferries glide by in the beautiful sunset. Breakfast was wonderful, would return for service and views at any time.

Gorgeous property, excellent hosts

Thanks Jo ... !! Lovely place, with stunning Whatamango Bay views Tasty breakfast . ! and the studio where we spent the night with everything our needs . We were 4 adults and we were comfortable .
