We stayed for 4 days at the Het Schoolhuis. A cute little B&B which was easy to find. There was a great connection to Leeuwarden or Ameland. The house offers sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people including breakfast. There is nothing to put off at breakfast. Very rich, loving and it was taken care of on every wish. The room was perfectly in order, a little bent and the bathroom was very small, as we were there with 4 women. There was also a 2nd bathroom. Everything was available and a very good sleeping comfort.

Despite the small limitations, great.

I've been to different countries overnight in B&B houses, and I've never really been disappointed. But this house is definitely one of the best. We had a very modern room, super clean and up-to-date with the latest technology. The location is very quiet. There was breakfast in the room. In the crowd that lunch could be missed. Perfect. Absolutely recommended.

One of the best B&Bs

Alice and Ferry are the best. Our second visit in Ferwert at Het Schoolhuis and it's amazing. Very clean and modern rooms and a nice apartment are available. Ameland and the beautiful nature are right in front of you. 
The handmade breakfast is full of love and hospitality and we will come back again many times.

Best B&B in Friesland

My husband and I had the privilege of going to Friesland and staying at Het Schoolhuis.  The owners, Ferry and Alice, were so friendly and welcoming.  We appreciated their advice about things we were planning to do in the area.  We stayed in the upstairs room.  It had a traditional Dutch staircase...meaning narrow, but we didn't mind.  Our room was a marvel in how they had remodeled a schoolhouse from the late 1800's to a B&B.  Our room had everything that we could possibly need...in a small space. Our only issue was some mosquitos that flew in the open windows (due to a recent rain).  Our huge, delicious breakfast was served to us each morning in the adjoining private dining room.  We loved driving around the beautiful area and seeing all the small towns.  A great place to stay!

Excellent B&B in northern Netherlands!

We had a great time with the family. They were nice. We were out with a baby and because our suite only had a shower, you were sooooo nice and allowed our daughter to bathe in her private space and do that every day and always with a smile. The house itself is super clean. I have nothing to postpone about our stay. The kids loved being received by such nice people. Because of the quality of the reception, I can only confirm the previous comments and this B&B award at the entrance is completely understandable.

Amazing place! Having stayed at many B&Bs in our past, we can clearly say this place outranks them all! We stayed here with our two children, who had an extra room off the master bedroom (which is huge and has a fabulous bed!). The set-up is ideal! The bathroom is modern, shower fantastic, they have two bathrobes there for you to use, a hair dryer, plenty of towels, an outdoor area with a jacuzzi ......and then the breakfast. We have never seen so much food on one table! So delicious! Fresh eggs, fruit salad, various breads, cheeses, cold cuts, pancakes, and and and. Alice and Ferry, the innkeepers, are very friendly and helpful, yet are not in your face the entire time. We had a great experience and will most certainly be back again!

Best B&B ever!

High quality B&B in the north of Friesland. Very large room with every comfort, lavish breakfast. The owner is very kind and courteous and speaks several foreign languages. Very convenient to visit the Frieson Islands.

Great hospitality

The rooms of Het Schoolhuis are decorated with a lot of details. 
Breakfast is very nice and plentiful. 
Overall a good and clean place to stay. The hosts are very kind and helpful.
The garden is peaceful with nice views.

Gathering of friends in a cozy atmosphere

I've never been to such a beautiful B&B! The house is wonderful, the photos don't do it justice. The owners are very kind, you also helped me solve a booking problem that I had (by mistake) with booking.com. The breakfast, served in the room, is very rich in both the salty and the sweet part. Everything is really perfect! I would never have left P.S.: Exceptional quality/price ratio!

The best B&B

This place is just great. We stayed in a lovely appartment in an outbuilding at the back of the main house overlooking meadows and the lighthouse at Ameland in the distance. Breakfast, served by the owners, was so huge it could feed half the village. There are cycling paths everywhere, criss-crossing the country side. The nearby towns of Dokkum and Leeuwarden are beautiful. Warmly recommended for a vacation with kids!
