Camp Adounia

I'm not sure where to start! I hosted a small retreat for 3 men (we had quite a few cancellations at the last minute but decided not to cancel the trip). Emma and her team were amazing from start to finish!! We spent a total of 7 days in Morocco, 3 of which were at the desert camp. Due to the earthquake the country experienced and the damage sustained at Camp Adounia, Emma moved us to another one of her campsites. It did not disappoint!! The journey from Marrakech to M'Hamid is a long one (8 hours) but our Desert Driver and guide Ibrahim was FANTASTIC. He was kind, funny, attentive, knew all the best places to stop, had a great roadtrip playlist, etc. He was such a genuine and beautiful soul - loved by everyone. Each placed we stopped, he was loved by the people. We joked that he must be the Mayor. He took great care of us. We stopped along the way for amazing food, snacks, cash, to stretch our legs, and see all the Morocco had to offer. He definitely took pride in showing us his country! We were even fortunate enough to meet his family and share a few laughs over tea and cake. When I say, he took care of us -- HE TOOK CARE OF US! The camp was beautiful!!! The tents were spacious, comfortable, had toilets/showers - so we were glamping. The camp grounds were exactly what we needed. The staff was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for our workshops. The food was delicious - we looked forward to EVERY meal and cleaned our plates. We explored the vastness of the Sahara and found ourselves, friendships, and community. I've already scheduled to host my next retreat there in 2025. I truly can't say enough about this experience! Thank you Emma, Ibrahim, and team for making our experience so special!!
