SCAM. Avoid this place. They will take your reservation and try to charge double upon arrival. Do not book. The owners are complete scammers. I booked via Expedia and got scammed. The refund process was extremely difficult. I don’t know how Expedia has this place listed.

we arrived , and as many others have said , the booking made by EXPEDIA  was denied by the manager , NOTE THIS IS NOT A cute  FAMILY OWNED HOUSE , but miraculously a booking could be arranged for six nights at a super discounted price of 500 mdh a night , at 72 ,my partner and I were coerced into paying over 3,500 mdh,  for seven nights stay ,then they would find us a bed for the night elsewhere , with a further six nights in Dar Sondos the first night being at another dar  i refused to pay over this amount and had to settle ,2,000 mdh in order to get a bed for the night ,    The following day we returned , and we asked to see this so called wonderful room, it was terrible the shower had render on the walls falling off with  no tiles, the toilet pan had long time heavy staining , the room was very bad,  the downstairs toilet located adjacent to the ground floor seating area was very bad with such heavy staining that I thought the toilet pan was brown from new                                                                  we were refused a refund with a demand for a further 1,500 mdh , i refused to be blackmailed further  and we politely left and went to a delightful dar elsewhere                                                                                   Now the reader  may think these old folks are not used to travel                                            , Im 72 and have travelled the world extensively over the last fifty years,sometimes  living in strange places  such as  tents, aircraft hangers,abandoned  barracks.  but  never in hotels,these were in the hottest and coldest regions in the world                      I know when a scam is taking place  and this was a well organised scam                      
                                                    ,                                                                            ,  This was our fifth visit in four years to Morocco with one  visit two years ago for a month, we have always had very good dars to stay in ,                                                                                                                           my partner visits India for seven weeks a year  living in cheap rooms but both of us were  genuinely shocked,                                                                                            This couple who run DAR SONDOS in fes claim that our problem was rare with the manager telling us it last  happened  a year ago ,                                                                         This scam is DAILY YES DAILY , with lots of other punters of EXPEDIA, reporting the same type of  reviews on here ,one we think the day before , (date not confirmed yet )                                                                                        I WARN YOU DO NOT GO OR BOOK DAR SONDOS  in fes  WITH ANYONE YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF , and  Expedia will answer the reasons why they fraudulently sell rooms that are not honoured if you have had the same problem chase Expedia hard

DAR SONDOS Denied a booking had been made by Expedia

Very disappointing for booking at Hotels.com. No room is reserved for me although booking has confirmed. 
Guesthouse owner asked me to pay more than double and offer me a room at the roof. For what the price I paid (MAD1000), I think I have fallen into a trap (photos of the poor standard of the riad)  In additional, the toilet always have a very BAD smell from the toilet, it really disgusting.  
1. The bathroom & the walls are full of mold

4. No hot water at night as all guest were bathing

9 This is the worst hotel/guesthouse I have ever stayed during my past travel experience and it's really made my trip so memorable. 

According to the photos and comments from Hotels.com website, it is 2 different worlds and I has mislead by its information.

Dar Sondos Fes…The worst guesthouse I've ever stayed

We were cancelled just after 20 minutes and were told if we wanted to book we would have to pay more in hand rather than through booking. They did us a favor of giving us a room for the first night so we wouldn't get carried away, but it wasn't the one we had booked for booking but much worse and at the same price. We had to look for another accommodation for the next few days. With the surprise that he was booking for the days we had booked with availability. But cheaper than what he ordered, we had to pay in hand. I tried to talk to them several times to fix it but he wasn't interested in the whore he had made us and the woman looked like she was laughing.

For me, it was a scam and the facilities were dirty.

We had a reservation booked, confirmed and paid for two nights. Upon arrival the owners wife said that they did not have what we booked but we could pay her a extra massive fee to stay in an “upgraded” room. We chose to stay at a different place. No word on refund. Nothing. Please avoid at all costs if you don’t like to be scammed. This place is a bait and switch.

We booked that dish because of the good reviews it has in Booking, and because of the photos, but when you arrive you realize that they were taken a few years ago, and that everything is very careless. The bathrooms are very wet, with black patches on the walls. The night table lamps have no lamps. The rooms have no keys because there is always someone there supposedly but sometimes they disappear. It's pretty cold and they only have one blanket per night. Luckily, we have air conditioning but we have that I walk through the whole thing. In the bed there are no blanks because when I had the blanket they have no spare so it was a blanket like a laundry room. And there were no towels and no toilet paper to get to. The breakfast table for all the guests, you want a breakfast, you want a breakfast, you want to have a blanket for each other, but it seems to me that there is a lot of room for everyone, but when the customers come to the airport, you can always ask for a taxi, but when you come to the hotel, you can't find anything.

 Disappointing.

Don't be fooled by the photos, the photographer who took these photos is very good. The accommodation was painful and also super difficult to find if you go for the first time. They didn't climb into the last room that looked like a dovecote in which all the smells of our bathroom were experienced and it was impossible to sleep or be in the room. Vayas when we arrived there was no toilet paper, towels, hand soap, we had to do it. There were also no blankets because at night there is a cool time and we had to do it too. The blankets were alive and roads and the bed was harder than a stone. We took a couple or family who had no confidence and no type of clothes and we had no place to fit the city. We knew a guide that you could see through a counter. We have no booking experience in the center of the city, but we have no idea of what kind of things to do with this. We have no experience in the center of the city, we have no recommendations, we don't have any kind of books, and we don't have any kind of personal advice on how to live in the

The guy called me sister the entire time and addressed my brother and not me. I don't know why it bothered, but it really bothered me. My brothers' room had no toilet paper. My room had only one blanket and even with the heater I was freezing the whole night. In general it was lovely and the people were nice, but I was done with Moroccan medinas.

1.Full room reservation for 5 rooms for 9 people for 7 nights. Finally, 4 rooms were usable. Temperature found in room 5: 12° for 4 nights. No negotiation possible for the price. 2.Cash taxed on the evening of our late arrival in euros. Full payment. 3.Receipt of an email from the booking platform, the landlord demands 300 euros for non-payment. Lastly, 4 rooms were usable. The first night at the room 5: a couscous, a price announced at 5 euros. Lastly, two rooms were negotiated at 10 euros per person.

A nice ride but very exhausting for the traveler

Despite appearances and welcome, these managers were scammers: 1. We tried to pay cash on arrival for the entire stay. => => HYGIENE => Presents => Non-existent: Bathrooms TRES dirty! 2. We were couscous home for the evening of our arrival (as we had asked), instead of the 5 euros per person given to us orally via phone. => note of 160 euros (equivalent to 200 dirhams per person!!!) finally renegotiated very hardly at 12 euros per person. => HYGIENE => Presents => nonexistent: Bathrooms TRES dirty!! We were able to get back to our rooms, including the second floor and the second floor.
