Hicham is the perfect host. We were welcomed in the parking area, and taken to the Riad. We are five women travelling together, and Hicham gave us sound advice. Hicham also ensured we had good references for restaurants, and enquired about our wellbeing every day. The Riad, true Moroccan style is well situated and catered for all our needs. We highly recommend abovementioned Riad to future travellers.

Accommodation Fes Medina

Perhaps one of the best spots in Medina, the breakfast was beautifully served in the terrace by Hicham, nice stuff very wellsituated at the heart of the old Medina of fez.
The guest house, it was beautiful cozy and very silence, we had a very good night of sleep. I highly recommend it

Cozy quest house at the heart of the Medina

It is always a joy to stay in this lovely riad. It is clean and quiet, with a lovely view from the roof terrace, and a beautiful internal yard where I enjoyed a very nice breakfast.

If you want a place in the heart of the medina, yet very quiet and relaxing, then I highly recommend Dar Othmane. It is also very near the car park and the staff always help me with my luggage and set up my airport transfers.

Another wonderful stay in Dar Othmane!

Beautiful and quiet riad just off the main street of the medina. Lovely breakfast served in the newly renovated courtyard. Nice sunny roof terrace which is very peaceful at sunset. The owners/staff guided me and helped me with anything that I required, including a visit to a doctor and pharmacy. Thank you Hicham, Imad and Rahma!

Lovely stay in the world's biggest medina!

We booked the place with booking.com. We arrived and did the formalities. Imad who introduced us to our room was rude. And it seemes like he tried to trick us. After the check in, nobody was there for support. Some examples are given below:

The rooms would be okay, but the bathroom smells so badly!!! And you can hear every single step from the streer even with closed windows. 

First he told us the wrong amount of money to pay. Luckily we checked our booking informations and paid the correct amount in the end.

He let us wait for more than 40 mins to show us how to open the door and how to come to the main street (3 mins walk). 

Imad pushed us to go to a restaurant (obviously managed by his friends). The food was okay in the end.

We asked for laundry which really expensive, so we didnt use it. 

He organized a tour for us where the guide (achmed) was rude and brought us from shop to shop where we were supposed to buy overpriced items. When we didn't buy their stuff, the people complained to the guide and expressed bad feelings. (the complete tour is a story in its own).

Worst experince in Marocco so far

The Riade is really good, everything was clean with good WiFi and air conditioner. The Riade is close to the Main Street of the Medina, and just 5 minutes walking from the bab bjloud. The breakfast was good and fresh. The staff was really nice, especially Imad, who sent us a taxi to the airport to pick us and was ready to help us all the time, he took us to some restaurants and to the main monuments in Fes. We felt really safe  during our staying in Fez. We would  definitely staying at this place again.

Great Riade

I had a very good experience at the heart of the Medina, Imad, and his team was very helpful, they showed us around, I loved the breakfast on the terrace and I also loved the view on the Medina, I recommend this place since the prices are low cost, my favorite thing was the Tajine of prunes.

A lot of red flags before showing up at the hotel.  Complications with confirming booking and no help was given after 6 emails.  Money was frozen in my account and reservation confirmed by email only by Hitcham personally so we decided to go through with it based on the owner saying the room was confirmed for the date in the email.  When we arrived the rooms were all booked and we were made to sit for 20 minutes with all our stuff and no information and no wifi (which is unheard of for Fes).  When Hitcham arrived he said we'd confirmed the wrong days.  I'd made the dates requested mentioned in ALL of my emails and he was very unapologetic.  We eventually gave up and decided to follow him to another riad outside the medina walking 15 minutes lugging around all our stuff without him offering to help.  We eventually got there, used the internet in the lobby to book another much nicer riad for a cheaper price (Dar Labchara).  

We were treated like a nuisance from the first email until we left the lobby of the 2nd hotel.  There are SO MANY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE in Fes at gorgeous riads.  Do yourself a favour and experience them instead.  We were in Morocco for 2 weeks and Fes for 5 nights and he was the only issue we came across.

Terrible Customer Service

  We stayed at this hotel in August and had a wonderful time. Ryad Dar Othmane is charming with thoughtful decoration and carefully chosen furniture. The Ryad is perfectly located in the medina, and the service is very nice friendly .👍

Dar Othmane is Really 👍

I highly recommend staying at guest house Dar Othmane.  The guest house is located in the old Madina and close the main street talaa la kbira where all the attractions are in Fez. There are a total of five rooms in the guest house and three floors with a terrace on the top. The rooms are very clean and have a unique Moroccan touch to them.  There is a lot of Mozeiq work done through out the place. The terrace has a beautiful view over looking the city.  I had a filling breakfast on the terrace every morning made up by Imad. It was a great way to start the day off. This hotel is owned and run by a very nice Moroccan family. When you stay here you will meet the two brothers Hichem and Imad who run the hotel.  They both have great hospitality and a lively personality.  They speak fantastic english and will direct you in what to see in Fez and tips on making your money go further. They took me in like a brother. If you want a true Moroccan experience I highly recommend you stay at guest house Dar Othmane.  They can help you to arrange different trips and excursions in Fez and outside of Fez. I took a day trip to the Atlas mountains which I highly recommend.  There I got to feed monkeys out of my hand and say some amazing views.  Imad went with me and we had a great adventure!
