We came to this hostel through a friend's recommendation and we could not have been happier. The location is great - right at the heart of the medina and close to everything - and all the amenities work very well.
The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Simon made sure we felt right at home and helped us with great tips of where to visit and eat.
Overall, a very nice hostel at a very nice price.

Very cosy and friendly place 

Had bed bugs and we were told that he had not had this the night before we were there. We ended up finding out later from people that had also stayed there a month ago that he told them the same thing.

Cute but had bed bugs

We stayed here for only one night. Highlights include the professional and very friendly staff and the location, which is right in the heart of the Medina of Essaouira, without it being too loud at night. I'd say that hygiene wise it could have been a bit better, the toilets were not very clean and the blankets we got weren't either.

However, great backpacker vibe, relaxed atmosphere.

The hostel can be quite hard to find and once you have found it, don't miss the white doorbell on the sidepost of the door. Incessant knocking doesn't work ;-)

Fine hostel

This was one of the sociable and friendly experiences we had throughout our trip. Simo and Abdel are doing a fantastic job bringing people together and making you feel at home away from home. Jam sessions and philosophical contemplation, tea and laughter. It was hard to say goodbye (and actually involved a tear or two)

We have a new family!

Perfect place to relax for a couple days. 

We stayed in the private room and we really liked it. We booked it directly with them and it was 180 dh/ night (2 people).
There are some common areas and a kitchen. Bathrooms are shared. 
The staff is very friendly and make you feel like at home. 
Good location inside the medina (anyway the medina is quite small). 

Pd: The nicest cat I’ve ever met lives outside the hostel, he'd appreciate some petting ;)
