This is a great accommodation in the heart of Chefchaouen, with clean rooms and – our highlight – an amazing rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the city and the mountains. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and watching the sunset in the evening.

Great accommodation in the heart of Chefchaouen

If you would like a stay in a traditional hotel/guest house in the blue village then this is it. We loved it. The only let down for this place was wifi, not working for nearly 2 out of our 3 nights there. No breakfast is served at the property but there is a fantastic cafe thats serves breakfast just a few minutes walk. The Buena Vista Cafe, great food and great prices, we ate there for dinner every night as well.

Traditional stay

The owner is very kind and helpful. The hotel is nice, has an authentic style that is not the most comfortable, but gives the little hotel a cozy atmosphere. Has a beautiful terrace, the rooms are fine and the location is great, in the center of the town but far from the bustle.

The shower stucks sometimes, cleaning in the bathrooms could be better, also their distribution, but in general terms is a nice option for a short staying.

Very nice budget option

We went around to see different options for quiet some time and at the end we chose to stay here. It is ok with some issues like the smell and the cold but comparing to what else we looked at even those with higher prices and better reviews this ended up being the best solution in the Médina at least 

Acceptable better than many others

I agree with the other reviews that the views from the rooftop were gorgeous and the staff were helpful and friendly but still, staying there in February (2019), we had to have the heating on and 3 blankets on top of us and we were barely warm. 

Also, most disappointing part was that there was no hot water to have a shower with in the morning... 

As for the noise, the dog did keep barking but we were too tired to be kept awake.

Avoid in winter maybe

Firstly the owner is lovely and his son was very helpful. Overall the building is clean and the views are great. 

My wife and I booked a deluxe room with a balcony, the room was a good size and the views were stunning.  Unfortunately the windows and balcony door were not sound proofed and we spent 3 out of 4 nights awake until about 03:00. Dogs barking, people in the street, vehicles (including Dustbin/garbage trucks around 02:00).  We cut our visit short due to lack of sleep. 

We are quite robust but a 2 week holiday needs to be just that.  The anxiety of not being able to sleep meant we were keen to leave Chefchouen .  Which is beautiful , the people are lovely here it was literally the noise.  As we were leaving a couple from Norway had the same complaint from a different room on the other side of the building. 

Quaint but noisy

The Riad is clean, beautiful and the double terrace with the breath-taking view of the city and the mountain is amazing.
The location it’s perfect because is 2 minutes walking from the last parking spot and you can start your blue-city medina tour from here and easily come back.
The owner and his son/daughter are very friendly.
This riad reflect the atmosphere and the beauty of the best city in Morocco.

Best location!!

Hotel was very cozy,traditional,unique. Its in central city of chefchaouen. You can see the breathe taking view from roof top aswell.

Nice and its in central of medina,chefchaouen

No hot water. No heater. No toiletries or even a towel in the washroom. Service was quick and efficient when checking in, but beyond that not helpful. Manager watched me bring a 20 lbs suitcase down a flight of stairs without offering assistance. In comparison to every other place I have stayed in in Morocco this one was by far the worst.
