it was a bit hard to find a place, but after the gate of the old city, we found a cafe, and they pointed where we can climb the stairs. Then it was a bit difficult to find, for there was no sign. But once there, the host helped us carry the suitcase, and as we requested a room with view, they prepared the room which faces the sea, which was beautiful. Once we know the place, it was easy to walk around the old city, and I really liked it. the only thing which I did not like was that the windows do not have curtains, and the wifi was quite weak, so i had to get out of the room.

The place is a bit eclectic in the decor, but all the amenities are there, the room is comfortable and the location is perfect. The view is UNBELIEVABLE, just come prepared to climb up a long staircase to get there.

This is definitely a great place with wonderful hosts who picked us up from the airport and dropped us back at no charge 
The room is a little dark but the view of the bay is wonderful and a huge comfy bed 
The stairs are hard on the first day but at the end of the week you can run up them 

Great little place in Stari Grad 

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at this property.  While the actual room is totally adequate (as long as you don't mind the limited height of the ceilings and the walk up the flights of stairs), it is the hosts Garen and Naden who make this a memorable experience.

It was an absolute pleasure to spend time talking with them and delighting in their company.  They are the most gracious hosts I have encountered on my many adventures.

They even took the time to take us on an almost 2 hour tour in their boat on  the fjord.  Not only that, but they offered to take us to Tivat for our plane connection.

Kotor is a magical place, especially when the cruise tours leave and you can really get a sense of the medieval town.

Having the pleasure of staying with such fabulous hosts just adds to the aura of staying in the old town of Kotor...

Five Star Hosts

When I saw the photo on the booking site,  I knew I wanted to stay there. I was not disappointed. I spent a lot of time just staring out of my window at the red roofs and ships coming and going in the harbour. The apartment is not for the unfit. There are 81 steps to climb to the building. Then another 12 to get to the room. The wonderful owners (twins), were incredibly chivalrous in carrying my bag up and down all those steps.  I don't know if I could have done it.  I loved the room. It was decorated in antique furniture. There was a kitchen area and a small bathroom. Did I mention the view? A view to die for.  I loved it there.  Wish I could have stayed longer.

The Place: 

Little house located just a few meters away from the south gate, inside the city walls. Only 2 minutes away from Supermarket and restaurants as well as less than 5 minutes from the bus station. Perfect location. House has two rooms on the second floor. Really charming. Friendly host (not sure how to spell his name, sorry). Let me leave my bag in his flat, on the ground floor, until my room was ready. 

The Room: 

Super cosy, filled with antiques furnitures and decorations. Good AC, small kitchen area with kettle, heating plate, fridge, glasses and one or two plates. The bed was really big and comfortable. The bathroom was small but convenient. Enough hot water and pressure. Little sitting area with beautiful chairs and great view on the bay. The room was also quiet, only heard some music on Saturday night and sometimes the people in the other room but just a little and it didn't bother me. Great stay. Would definitely come back.

If I am to talk about this place,I must first talk about the awesome owner (Mr.Nenad)of the apartment to justify my title " HOME AWAY FROM HOME"
He came to the Tivat airport benevolently to pick me & my sister and drove us to the apartment. Mr.Nenad,the owner agreed us more than two hours late check out,he took us on a boat ride to the kotor bay and all the way to the Perast during his free time.(This is actually a great proof  of his hospitality & kindness). 
And,finally a lovely little souvenirs on our departure and drop off to the airport. 
So,It was actually not just a stay at a hotel or another apartment but was like staying with a relative!

The apartment is right inside the fortress and at a silent corner rather than the noisy center. Why I said the noisy center,kotor is very crowded during the summer with many visitors and musics,from bars will be heard till 1am.
Our room was a lovely attic room that over looks the kotor bay.Our room was equipped with a TV,WiFi,Radio,fridge,electric kettle,electric stove,sink,cups,plates,cutlery and some utensils. 
Further,as furniture there were lovely antique arm chairs,two wardrobes,two bedsides cupboards,stools and of course a big cosy bed! 
Guests have a washing machine  and a coffee vending machine available at the premises.
But,if you are a comfort seeking,demanding & lazy traveler,be advised that Kotor itself a hilly fortress area and many hotels and apartments have only stairs.
