Clean, friendly, helpful staff, gorgeous birds (Picalito) are amazing!  Without a doubt the most beautiful Comfort Inn I've ever stayed in. I've often given thought to monthly stays here, as there is so many fabulous things, places, sights to see, all at an incredibly reasonable price!
Personally, one has to love the sounds of the jungle, being so close to a town with everything to offer. 
Always enjoyed  speaking with the hard working people at this lovely, well kept hotel on the edge of historical paradise!

I've stayed several times

Upon checking in, we were greeted by a front desk manager that did not have our confirmed payment and wanted to charge us again for our room. She insisted upon keeping my printed Travelocity reservation. Very rude woman overall. She wanted to charge an additional person for our driver who was not staying. We had paid for 2 rooms and 7 people. Each room had 2 towels, no wash cloths or hand towels. We called front desk to ask for more towels and they said they would bring them. No towels were brought. Next morning I asked for towels - she said we're all out. I asked a maid and she said they were out too. I noticed at night they don't turn on lights outside until it is dark - DON'T TRIP! No towels were available for the pool. I asked the manager again for towels several days and she said she would bring them and never did. I confronted her and said her review was not going to be good since she is being cheap and not giving me what I had paid for. THEN SHE FOUND TOWELS!!! WOW...too bad Mary Bell, she gets a failing grade. Ruined the stay and she shrugged her shoulders when I told her she is rude and not being of service. Her attitude was "Be happy with what you have, not  what you want." I searched around and found another hotel that I will stay at next time. No Ice. No Drink or Snack machine. No one speaks English. Free Breakfast was good. Don't ask for anything extra -
 you won't get it. COMFORT INN is a no go next time around. WIFI is garbage.

Beautiful plants and birds ~ lousy service

This was the "BEST" Comfort Inn I have ever stayed at. (World Wide) The rooms were clean, plenty of hot water, TV Channels, A/C and strong Wi-Fi no matter whether inside or out. Friendly staff and the thing that surprised me the most was.....Long/Short Tail Parrot's and Tucan's freely roaming around the grounds and pool area. Free Continental Breakfast was good and plentiful. 15 Minutes from the Mayan Ruins and a 15 minute walk to the downtown area restaurants.

Amazing Place to Stay

Beautiful property - building & grounds, adequate-sized rooms, beautiful exotic birds on the property are a nice touch. I especially liked the toucans.  The location is good if you have a car - ample free parking.  Not close enough to the city center to walk to it, but you can walk to the grocery store across the street & there are a couple of restaurants in walking distance.   BUT, the WiFi situation is HORRIBLE.  The listing says "WiFi is available in all areas" & that is NOT true.  You had to go to the lobby to use it & since the lobby is open-air, the mosquitoes eat you alive.  It is ridiculous that you have to apply bug repellent to use the WiFi.  To make it worse, there were 3 different possible WiFi connections to connect to - each person we asked at the desk gave us a different one. Very confusing!  The breakfast was terrible, too - toast & juice & coffee.  The second morning. the waiter offered a pastry, too - but not the first morning.

Beautiful property, free parking.

The hotel is really nothing special. Clean, comfortable, a little bit old. As with most hotels in this area this is an exterior corridor hotel but being in the middle of the jungle this means bugs, many many bugs. It is annoying, but it is nothing that the hotel can do. Nice hot shower in a simple but clean bathroom.
Service is not great, it seems like front desk and restaurant staff are not happy with their job (could be with the level of heat and humidity).
Internet was only working in the lobby area (which is also open) so you had to stay there and endure mosquito attacks to check your mail, etc.
The hotel has some exotic birds (Toucans, Macaws, Parrots) that are so used to people that stay literally feet away from you and don't fly away.
