I think this place used to be wonderful. The location is lovely and the space itself is very pretty - wide rooms with big windows and nice terraces. Unfortunately, it has what feels like years of careless cleaning and a bit of neglect, which is a shame really! At first glance it appears clean. But then, when you look closer (or spend a few nights!), everything is covered in a layer of grime - the kind that comes from lack of deep cleaning. Bathroom is grimy and smelly, ants and pests abound in places that could very easily be caulked, the space under the bed and under the armoire is filthy, and, though the sheets, pillows and towels are thankfully clean, they are old. Very old. Towels are threadbare, and shed lint -they are literally falling apart. Pillows are that kind of lumpy that is only achieved after years and years of use. Mattress has some loose springs. It's a shame really, because it has some amazing potential. But for the time being, there is better value to be had in Mazunte. A bit of love and a bit of investing in this place will go a very, very long way! :)

Lots of Potential in a Great Location

Great location, ocean views from the room. Very calm and low-key stay.

Site says no one at hotel to check in so I called a number provide on Expedia and the woman tells me that the number I had called was not a contact for about a year. I arrive to hotel and the gal that thankfully was there begins to explain that my reservation is done through Expedia and she has no access to it and some guy Kilian takes screenshots via texts and sends them to her. She logs info in her ledger and asks me how much were you quoted. I told her the amount and she asked to collect on cash only. So I go through the process and ask for a receipt which I received the morning of my departure. One of thae days during I hear the lady having the same conversation with another guest. I figured there has to be an easier without going through all this trouble. This process was an inconvenience for me and I have to make sure my credit card was not charged after all this unnecessary disorganization.

The description states that each room receives a terrace and that there are ocean views from the hotel. This is not entirely true. If you were unfortunately placed in the middle room (which I was, due to availability), there was no private terrace. I was told that the terraces were all shared (which is odd, considering each hotel room faces onto the terraces) and the only ocean views can be viewed on the top floor of the hotel balcony and terrace which is again shared. For the price, there are cheaper options at hostels near the Mazunte beach that you can get ocean views as well as private balcony for 300 pesos a night. You also have to pay upfront in cash and they do not charge your credit. 

After complaining, I was told I could stay in another room that had a water leak, or that I could take someone else's room if they were leaving that night. I asked for a discount because the place was not true to the description but they did not give me a discount.

Poor description

Nice place, bit of a climb but great view from terrace of one room.Kitchen facilities available which I hadn't realised.My room was lovely, rustic bit the drains were smelly.My biggest issue was with the lack of English appealing staff.  The cleaner was very friendly but as I'm only just learning Spanish I could not converse with her.  Therefore, as a single traveller I could not chat about local information - restaurants, activities etc.  Most of the other clients were Spanish speaking too.

Nice but no management on site

My room was very romantic, very nicely set, with a huge comfortable bed. It was only surpassed by the  stunning view on San Agustinillo bay from the patio.

Amazingly charming and panoramic

Very nice place with your own terrace and an amaca to chill out.The way to the beach is a bit steep but not really a problem.Personal is very nice and makes you feel at home, shared kitchen available

Very relaxed atmosphere

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hosts were very friendly, the bungalow was beautiful and the location was a bit out of town but not too far.it was very good value too. The rooms were quite hot but fans are provided. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here.
