1 reviewMau Springs country resort is a haven of sorts in the hills of the Mau area in Kenya run by a Danish - Kenyan couple and some of their family. I found it to be a very calming getaway from the hustle and bustle of bigger Kenyan towns whilst not being too far removed from amenities of necessity such as water, electricity and Wifi. It's the ideal spot for a relaxing weekend in the company of chirping birds and an ever-present sooting mountain breeze. The surrounding area is interesting to explore by bike (ask the staff and they will gladly take you on a guided tour past rivers, forests and highland farms). The service is commendable and highly customizable given the family - run nature of the place and the water is drinkable unlike many places in Africa, due to an in-situ borehole and purification system.
