If you ever go to Kenya, don’t miss a stay here. The lodge is beautiful and so are the team that work there. 
The game drives were awesome and our guide, Sammy, was exceptional. 
The food at the lodge was great and it would be remiss of me not to mention our lovely waiter Simon!

A must do if you plan a trip to Kenya

Superb location amongst gardens, on edge of Lake Naivasha. Monkeys and sea eagles abound, birdlife abundant, hippos feed on shore, game just outside the fences. Staff wonderful, friendly, nothing too much trouble. Staff to be mentioned: Constant, Simon, Elias, Charles x 2, chef Gordon and Manager Abu.

Lakeside Haven

A beautiful property, in beautiful surroundings and with beautiful, friendly staff. This was the first leg of our trip to Kenya (we - my husband and I- were there as part of our joint 60th birthday celebrations). Comfortable accommodation, with a view of the lake. This view was also enjoyed at breakfast and lunch which was served outside the main building. Sometimes, hippos could be seen on the bank and, even if you couldn’t see them you could certainly hear them. Our guide, Kip, was superb;  knowledgable and displayed a real passion for his job; we felt very  safe with him (even when driving out on the highway to Lake Nakuru) and we felt very safe in an around the house itself. Animals were in abundance. A good choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we were even treated to a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ and a cake with candles on our last night at dinner as well as rose petals and a card wishing us a long and happy life which was left in our room. Service was simply outstanding!! From our waiter (the lovely Constance) to the person who turned down the rooms each night -always leaving a little something on the pillow and a hot water bottle in the bed -, the bar staff, cleaning staff, laundry staff, and management: Everything was done with a smile: nothing was too much trouble. We particularly enjoyed our early morning hot chocolate and biscuits which was brought to our room and the swimming pool (albeit very cold) was a welcome facility. We loved our stay at Loldia house and would not hesitate to recommend it. We may just have to return one day.

A beautiful property in wonderful surroundings.

A really lovely place to be, right in the middle of 6,500 acres of private nature reserve.
Luxury comfort and the best service you could get anywhere - we really miss Elias who looked after us like family. Very good chef and lovely food. Our guide, Sammy, was the best - he showed us everything we could have wished to see and was so knowledgeable. A really super week and thoroughly recommended - thank you all at Loldia. Penny and Ian

Lovely holiday

On arrival we were greeted by the manager, chef, waiters etc who all introduced themselves personally.
Can’t fault the staff at the hotel or the game drives the guide was knowledgeable and really wanted to make the best of our time. The days planning was excellent by the guide he kept us informed and updated consistently
Fantastic food, great accommodation and a staff that is wonderful.
Overall, this was an incredible introduction to Safari life, and we could not fault it. Would 100% recommend booking Loldia House.

Outstanding Thank You

What a magical place! When we arrived we were immediately met by Linda who took us and we were offered a refreshing drink and towel to refresh. We met our amazing guide Gideon who was so knowledgeable about the animals and plant life! We went out on a drive and met the owners who had just been out to put hay out for the hippos! Our lovely accommodation looked like a Hobbit house and was very luxurious. The food was amazing and fresh and you’ll never go hungry! Charles the waiter was a true gentlemen and as soon as we sat down he was there usually knowing what drinks we would like to order. We went out on a trip across Naivasha Lake with Gideon to Crescent Island. You have to pay a little money to get onto the island and you can buy food to feed the Ostrich’s they have there.  We saw so much wildlife during the trip. Gideon then asked us if we wanted to go to a Bird Sanctuary which was an added bonus and we went into the enclosure with lots of Vultures.  It is all run by volunteers so we gave them a donation. On the last morning we went out on the boat which is owned by the hotel and saw lots of hippos and he threw fish to the Fish Eagles which nest in the trees.  We have some amazing video of them swooping down and grabbing the fish.  He seems to know the different pairs and he has his favourites! We were flying by light aircraft from the airstrip to Governors Camp and Gideon waited with us to see us off. This was the perfect start to our holiday in Kenya. I cannot fault anything about this wonderful hotel and wished we had stayed longer. It really is a home from home. I would like to thank all the staff at Lolita House! You are an amazing team!

Fabulous!

We stayed for two nights at Loldia House as part of our honeymoon and I wish we had stayed longer. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so attentive. I had thought, ahead of the honeymoon, that Loldia House might be the less interesting part of our honeymoon, as we were keen to see the Mara. However, Trailfinders had been absolutely right about making at stop at Loldia. 
We loved that we got to know all the staff by name as they made effort to introduce themselves to us as we had our first lunch out on the lawn overlooking the lake. The food at every single meal was absolutely incredible. It was so fresh and tasty. 
Our room was absolutely stunning - the four poster bed, the fireplace and the bathroom were straight out of a fairytale. A small fire would be made up each night in the fireplace to keep our room warm overnight, and hot water bottles were placed in our beds to ensure we didn't get cold. These little details are what define 5 star service. I felt like we could just relax, stop thinking and Loldia House would take care of everything for us. It was perfect. 
Our tour guide - Samuel - was so knowledgable and friendly. We really enjoyed getting to know him on our game drives. His passion for wildlife really shone through, we loved how excited he got at seeing a Bat Eared Fox as it made us excited too! 
I could go on forever about how much we loved Loldia House. It has set an incredibly high bar for what 5 star service means. Thank you so much for the whole experience, we can't wait to be back one day. 

Best part of our honeymoon!

Excellent service by everyone especially Simon, Simon made us feel like family.  The food was delicious and Simon's personal touch in his service to us made the food taste so much more delicious.  The dawa drink he made was perfect!  Ask for the drink when you stay at Loldia.  Thank you Simon!! 

Feel like home 

We had a fantastic stay at Loldia House - accommodations and setting beautiful, food excellent and staff so helpful. Gideon was our guide - super knowledgeable, we particularly enjoyed a night game drive. 

Excellent stay at Loldia House!

We arrived at Loldia House as a treat for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and had a wonderful time we were met by Jumo who was our guide for the time we were there, he was fantastic at spotting the animals and all the birds,  the night drive was really good we even saw a hyena. Then we met Cynthia who welcomed us. We were spoilt by all the staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and thanks to Rono the chef who was amazing and even made us a gluten free anniversary cake which was delicious, and to David who was looking after us. We were only there two nights but wished it was longer! We did fit in the day trip to Lake Nakuru which was great and a boat trip with Steve on our last morning which we really enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so memorable
