Chose to stay in Ikebukuro for once instead of the usual hotspots like Shinjuku and Shibuya. Great location right next to escalators leading to the train station, options to eat nearby and decent sized room with space to actually open our suitcases, unlike other shoebox sized hotels in Japan where we've struggled to do barely that.Also had an extra suitcase delivered via courier on our second day which they were more than happy to accept and advise us it had arrived when we came back to our hotel after a long day.

Good location, good size

There was black mold on the shower tile. Very unhealthy and could make people sick. Room 607.

We ended up here due to a Challenging reservation process and it was 2 am and Watanabe the Front desk gentleman was extremely helpful - 10 out of 10 
The room 

Big for Japan and had a extremely comfortable king sized bed, and lots of space, 

The Breakfast was free with room and was fine, good coffee fresh food and service. 

I will Make this my hotel of choice in Tokyo from now on because of 

Excellent Service 
Good amenities- iron, hair needs, clean bright bathroom
Comfortable bed and linens 
Quiet area very central to Metro line, Shinkansen, and a tonne of Shopping and amenities 
Enough room for large luggage on a longer term stay.

Excellent Room and Service

In spite of the slightly out-dated design and utilities, everything is in working order.  For those who value simplicity and/or location more than modernity,  I would recommend this hotel.   If you need a wifi connection in your room, look elsewhere.  Breakfast was pretty good in my opinion.

This hotel just one minute walk from Exit C6  (West exit) of Ikebukuro Station is conveniently located, and deserves a five star for its location. Not too bad a place to stay (and reasonably priced) if you don't mind the following. 

It does not have wifi in room, you can get them at hotel lobby, but it is not stable, sometimes I can't even log in to the wifi. You can connect your lap top in room as there is cable provided, but the speed is really quite slow. 

Room is reasonably clean but bed and chair seem old, the mattress and cushion are sinking. 

Other than that, breakfast is decent with 4 choices available and free flow of drinks. 

Bathroom is a bit bigger than the usual business hotel standard, with a bigger bathhub.

Great location but no wifi in room

It was averagely good during my stay, but just one day I couldn't bathe due to the boiler fix. I know that this fix couldn't be avoid, but it was not good situation for me.

Nice hotel in city, good in shopping and food & beverage, near to the station as well

Hotels in Japan usually have air clear machines but they haven’t so smell of smoke.But the location is convenient.

Not clean enough

it is small and old hotel, room is tidy but old style. location is very good

Old Hotel, but good location

Room was comfortable and clean Staff were very, very friendly and helpful. Hotel very close to station and shops. Wifi in rooms would have been great. Overall, very happy with my stay.
