Hotel Kasansui

Very clean and nice property. Multiple bus lines pick you up directly out front. Fast walk to the ropeway and that takes you to owakudani and lake ashii. We did not try onsen

As others mentioned the property is a bit dated but otherwise an excellent place to stay around Hakone and is very conveniently located from the cable car and the train stop. Food and Onsen were great and the place gives an idea of Japanese traditional hospitality. You can easily ship your luggage from the hakone station and don’t have to carry them around. If you have any dietary restrictions make sure you tell them in advance because their food offerings are predetermined. I would stay again

Hotel Kasansui is a lovely place just around the corner from the Hakone Ropeway and situated directly next to the local bus stop.The staff were very friendly and helpful, and my friend who did not speak Japanese could still communicate with them.As a part of our stay, dinner and breakfast was included, and it did not disappoint. The total price we paid versus what we recieved seemed like a steal, and the set courses were delicious!Another part of the stay was the baths, and the two different rooms both had a nice window to watch the green foliage, and one with a semi open roof to breathe some fresh air while soaking.The hotel feels like it has been around for a while, and some parts of the building and furniture feel a bit worn, but all in all we really felt like we got good value and a great experience!

We stayed in this hotel for one night. It’s an older property, so the decor is dated. However, everything was clean and in working condition. The women at the front desk is very nice and helpful and drove us to the Souzan station twice. It’s very close, but the walk is uphill from the hotel. The included dinner was excellent. Japanese breakfast was interesting to try but we are not used to it. The onsen is small but it was nice to have it empty (only 10 rooms in the hotel). The rooms are very spacious and the yukata was beautiful. Overall it was a good value (we paid $300 for 4).

Service is really nice! Although the facility is a bit old, they try to keep it clean.

Staffs are wonderful and super helpful! Solved a lot of problems for us. I can say they are excellent!

Had a really fun time here, no complaints at all. The staff was friendly and super welcoming to foreigners. The food was good too.

Hotel is fantastic. Kaiseki breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Recommend to include the meals as there aren't convenient nearby restaurants that you can easily access. Super close to Yunnesen Onsen for a fun day with the family. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and nice and front desk spoke English. Hotel has onsen downstairs, a little old and small, but is great for the price.
