43 reviewsStayed here for one night on my way down from Tokyo to Osaka. Two of the women who work here have very good English so if you can't speak Japanese it's no issue. They also have a printout of info in English that they give you. The place is very private - it's far more traditional than the larger ryokan style accomodation that are bigger and busier. I got both the dinner and breakfast and they were both delicious. If you're uncomfortable with not knowing what your eating and want choice, stay at a bigger Ryokan which actually caters to westerners. Whilst I was there I saw nobody else when I used the baths. The private baths have such a great view although I got bitten by a lot of mozzies :(. Location wise there's a bus you can take but I had a big suitcase so I got a taxi there and back (they rang a taxi for me when I left). It was a great experience and I'd love to go back again in the future. The service is friendly, scenery is peaceful, food was great and baths were relaxing. The rooms are all relatively big so you're not cramped and have space to walk around.
