81 reviewsNote this is in Lido de Tarquinia, which is a ghost town out of season, and not Tarquinia itself. We went for a family wedding because it was in the same town as the reception, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The staff speak little English, but why should they? However with my phrasebook Italian they could not have been more obliging. The whole hotel was immaculately clean, the rooms all have a kingsize bed(extremely comfortable) and a single bed and are of a good size, but not very soundproofed. The wifi is free and reliable. The only quibble about the rooms is that the shower cubicle itself is very small so moving around wasn't too easy and my heavier parents worried about the creaking plastic shower tray.The balconies have an open aspect but no sea view etc. The restaurant is closed in November, which makes the dining options limited to a couple of takeaways or the only restaurant that appeared open in the town. However as it is family run, the very comfortable bar and open plan dining/living area and terrace were open to us at all times, and the bar was extremely well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was at our convenience and excellent continental with fantastic coffee/croissants/yoghurt and cakes. We would be delighted to visit again to use it as a base for exploring the area.

A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel «Hotel Velcamare» is located in Tarquinia. This hotel is located in 5 km from the city center.

You can stop by the bar. It’s time to have a nice meal! Stop by the restaurant. If you travel by car, you can park in a parking zone. You won’t be bored as at the hotel you will find a barbeque area.
