An incredible experience !
The B&B has a terrific location in Taormina - has very clean and large rooms but it’s the owner who made this one of my most enjoyable stays ever.
She’s just the loveliest person - making an amazing breakfast each day, folding up all my clothes, leaving little gifts of food and drink each day - she even came outside to wave goodbye !

I visited in July 2019 (sorry bit late with the review) and promised i'd write a review because I enjoyed my stay that much.

I stayed in the little blue room with a balcony. It was very clean, really pretty, AMAZING view (seriously - it's a great view - seeing the moon above the water like that was really special for me). The rates were very affordable. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. It is small in size but so am I so i loved it. Wi-fi worked great. Nice to have snacks in the fridge. Great location near the open air theatre and all of the shops and close to the bus station for tours around Sicily which I also enjoyed.

The lady in charge was really friendly/very helpful and her mother was so sweet and kind! Very warm people. She was also very helpful in guiding me to the B&B as I couldn't find it on my navigation app (it cut out). 

It would be good to get walking directions for people on the website. I arrived from the airport by coach at Taormina Bus Station. If you're facing the the station you walk to your right. You keep walking until you get to an arch on your left hand side that is the gateway to a cobbled street (there are probably lots of people walking along there). You keep walking through that arch on the cobbled street until you get to a church on your right hand side (in front of you is probably a cafe and to the left is another cobbled street with shops that leads to the open air theatre). You need to go right where the church is and walk up the steps. There will be a road with a bus stop (and I think a building with stairs in front). Cross the road. Go up the stairs and to the right (you will see a sign with the B&B name there). Be careful as there is also another B&B there I think with their own sign too. Print out directions if you have them as both google and maps.me completely cut out on me.

Fantastic, cosy, friendly, welcoming, great location, great views

It's only a small B&B but the owner is lovely and the facilities are functional but comfortable.  The location however is great, within 5 mins walk into the heart of Taormina but far enough out not to be bothered by the noise of the centre when trying to sleep.   We had the top floor room for the first few days of our stay which has it's own roof terrace which is amazing.  Unfortunately it was booked for the latter half of our stay so we'd arranged to move to a smaller room, however this wasn't an issue as the staff (owner and her mother) moved our bags for us while we were on a day trip.   Such a friendly place and very helpful with ideas of places to eat.

Lovely find in Taormina, the owner was lovely.

I would not have the right words to say how perfect it was. Everything was beyond our expectations, from the room to the owner of the place. The room was exceptionnal, an amazing terrace with a view on Taormina and a really nice bathroom and bedroom. The owner was very kind and attentive to little details that make the staying so enjoyable. The only thing that we regret is that we stayed only one night.

A delightful place

We visited B&B Sorriso with little expectation.  As with most places in Taormina, there is an abundance of stairs to navigate.  But oh, this little B&B, was such a charming jewel.  It was like being in the home of my dearly departed Sicilian grandmother. Nothing fancy, just felt like being in someones home.  We had the large room at the top of the stairs.  It had a large terrace overlooking the entire city.  The finest hotels could not have offered such a view at this vantage point.  Good sturdy towels, good hot water in the shower.  Melina, the owner went out of her way to make our visit special.  She gave us recommendations and directions to restaurants.  
But the breakfast.  Oh my goodness!  She starts with boiled eggs (her mothers chickens) and fresh tomatoes (from her garden).  Then dense homemade italian bread made by her 90 year old mother.  Fresh fruit and a giant hunk of parmegiano cheese.  She would disappear into the kitchen to make us all cappuccino's and then insisted upon making an extra cup for us.  On our last morning she brought out fresh anchovies that had been caught the day before and then drizzled them with homemade olive oil at the table.  It was a Sicilian feast to start the day.  She visited with us each morning and helped us with our rudimentary Sicilian.  I would highly recommend staying here if you want to experience simple Sicilian life with a very kind person.

A wonderful surprise!

We visited B&B Sorriso April 25, 2017 and had the most wonderful experience.  We arrived by car and unloaded the luggage at the B&B.  We then went to park a the Lumbi.  We were greeted by Melina(sp) and she took us to our room with a patio and a fabulous view of the city and the Ionian Sea.  Melina greeted us every morning with a breakfast that was the beyond words. The cappuccinos were the best. She also gave us tips on good restaurants and sights to see.  We were less than 100m to Corso Umberto and many great restaurants.  Melina made us feel like family and we were sad to leave.  We would definitely stay here on a return visit to Taormina.

Delightful Experience

The place was underwhelming in our opinion.  Very cramped quarters, 3 flights of stairs and narrow staircases mind you.  Be prepared to lug your luggage up about 50 stairs.   The place is hard to find.  The real kicker is the owners daughter Fausta, appropriately named, who runs the business with the cheer and friendliness of an oppressive overhanging cloud.   Our room was the largest on the top floor with a huge terrace, which could have been enjoyed better under an awning or umbrella.  The sun beats down on the terrace so it's hard to sit outside lacking any shade.  The beams on the room ceiling are riddled with old wormholes!  I found them hideous to look at, my husband didn't seem to care.   The mother Melina is lovely and cheerful and prepares the breakfasts.  Her coffee is superb, otherwise the food was all store-bought goods and quite average.  We wouldn't stay their again.

Very Cramped Quarters

 We had a magical relaxing time at B&B Sorriso. The hostess Melina is a lovely and generous person. She makes you feel at home.  Her breakfasts were delicious and ample. We drank too many coffees because they were so good.  Melina was happy to chat with me in my broken Italian. 

Our room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea.  The   B&B  is  conveniently a few streets away from the centre of Taormina. 
It was sad for us to leave.  We will return.

Magical B&B

We were a group of 4 who stayed here for 2 nights last year in May. It was great. It is not in the old town, but very close to it. It was difficult to find it, as it is opposite to a busy street and a little hidden among the other houses. You have to go up in a little stair to find it. We went through the old town looking for it, but it is not necessary to do it, it is even harder to find by this way. If you come by car, be advised it is not possible to leave your car parked near the B&B. So, you’ll have to park in a nearby public parking whose name is Lumbi. We were not advised about it and it was kind of stressful to park. Italian traffic is always busy and messy, so be patient. We went around several times, until we found a very expensive car parking close to the old town. After doing the check-in, she explained where we could have left it, so we returned to Lumbi and let it there. It is easy, as they have a free shuttle to take the customers to the main gate. There are also some stairs that you can use. If you come by night, I think there may be no problem parking in front of the B&B to take out your luggage. Well, besides that, the B&B is very good and maintained. The rooms are large, comfortable and very well-illuminated. The views from some of the rooms are great, both during the day and at the night. Fausta was very attentive and nice. We met her mother one day and she was also nice. The breakfast is too much (in a good sense), more than one can eat. She served several kinds of cakes, biscuits, yogurt, juice, coffee, fruits, eggs, and so on. In the last day, as we wouldn’t have the chance to have breakfast in the B&B (we left very early to the airport), Fausta prepared a bag with supplies for each one of us. It was very kind of her.
