88 reviewsWe stayed here in August 2013 for my 18th birthday and the trip was a present from my boyfriend. On arrival, I was pretty apprehensive as the outer hotel isn't very appealing. I was very pleasantly surprised when we got to our rooms to see a lovely large bed and a big enough room for two. The place was spotless and the only comment we could make was that the toilet was facing the shower so we had to put our legs in the shower to use the loo properly! We laughed this off though and it didn't bother us much at all really. The hotel was in a great location as it was far enough away from the Colosseum ect to be quiet and get a good sleep but close enough to take a nice walk (15/20 mins) right into the centre. There are three restaurants on the corner next to the hotel and we ate in all of them and they were lovely, really welcoming and fantastic food. We also visited the main attractions (Colosseum, roman forum, trevi fountain, Vatican) and were helped by our hotel staff to advise on where to go and when. Going in mid august the weather was absolutely beautiful but please take trainers! me being a silly girl took flip flops and within a day had bleeding feet and had to make a visit to the foot locker in Termini station! One thing I MUST recommend, on my actual 18th birthday we decided to go out, and we went on something called the Colosseum team, (if your going to Rome anytime soon PLEASE go, you will not regret it!) which was basically a bar crawl of the local area full of travellers from all over. We met Icelandic boys, some americans, some Australians, some Israelites, and everyone was absolutely lovely. Had a great laugh and the staff there were very helpful, got very drunk haha and the hotel were great when we realised wed forgotton our key at 5 in the morning! haha a lovely place and I cant wait to go back.
