Casale Montetigno

We stayed 3 nights in Montetigno in Mid November 2014 and were impressed by the beauty of the place. Daniela is a wonderful person taking well care of her guests. We booked the room on the base floor and it is actually more a complete flat with kitchen, fireplace and a large sleeping room area all decorated with wonderful old Italian furniture. Daniela also showed us the newly renovated rooms upstairs and they too look wonderful. The casale is located out in the countryside near the village Canonica. It is a standalone old Farmhouse surrounded by beautiful fields for horses (they belong to Daniela) and forests. To stay in the casale you however need a car, the last stretch of road is not paved. In Canonica, which is only a 10 min drive from the casale, you find a nice local osteria with a very kind owner how makes his guests feeling home from the moment they enter the door. Thank you Daniela for the wonderful time and we are looking forward to visit again Lorenza & Reto In italiano: Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti al casale Montetigno a metà novembre 2014 e siamo rimasti impressionati dalla bellezza del luogo. Daniela é una persona squisita che gestisce il casale. La stanza al pianterreno é grande e puo' considerarsi un vero appartamento, con cucina, salotto con camino, un'enorme stanza da letto. Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di vedere le camere al piano superiore appena rinnovate e sono anch'esse magnifiche. Il casale si trova in una posizione privilegiata e piuttosto distante dal centro del paese: é necessario avere un'auto per percorrere il breve sentiero di strada sterrata verso Montetigno. Nel paese di Canonica si trova un'osteria molto carina dove abbiamo mangiato ottimamente.
