Both the village of Nemi and this lovely B&B is worth a visit. The attention to detail is wonderful, it's decorated with love and style, and extremely clean and well kept. 
I will certainly stay here again, and will recommend it to anyone going to Italy. 
Take a break from busy Rome in this quiet and lovely village, and be sure to check out the wonderful hiking trail as well.

Absolutely wonderful place

Having been to Rome and Gaeta fancied somewhere in the mountains and read an article on Castelli Romani, having read many reviews decided on Nemi and the pictures on the website for the b and b swung in it for us particularly as it was our 130th wedding anniversary. We had the strawberry apartment , a large family suite with sofa bed and four poster . Strawberries everywhere which could have been over the top but even my husband thought charming. Decent kitchen though we ate out at speccio di diana which was excellent and where you went for breakfast. The terrace was stunning , two loungers and a chair , we watched the edge of the sunset coming down , though from the opposite side of the town is better, the swallows swooping over. Only downside was it was very hot so a lot of insects out which made sitting on the terrace late on less fun. No aircon though you could open the windows . As one of the other guests pointed out could do with curtains for the picture window, potentially across on the street could see though a distance, there were curtains round the bed but I am a light sleeper and would have preferred a darker room . It was fabulous to look out and the sky and once the day trippers had gone and the town retired still and magical. Lago albano nearby is much larger and does not have the same charm. Grazia the owner sent good instructions where to meet and turned up right on time. Wonderfulplace. There is a wood stove for winter which would love to revisit and use

Fabulous apartment with stunning views

We were blown away on entering this apartment type accommodation. The terrace in the pics is your own personal terrace with spectacular views of the lake and also the town. The owner has thought of everything in furnishing the space and even though a little kitch or over the top in terms of the theme (strawberries) it makes a great talking point and a fun holiday setting. A couple of minutes walk from the main street with lots of pretty small shops selling some of these souveniers but also local wine/porchetta/pizza etc.  The location is reached by foot down a typical Italian village street and is quite secluded. At night there was almost complete silence helped by the thick ancient walls and lack of tourists/day trippers after about 6 or 7pm.

So the accommodation is one large space divided into a entrance hall, cooking area, bedroom with 4 poster type bed and wardrobe space. A very clever use of lighting and mirrors gives the illusion of a much larger property. There is a dinning area, complete with sideboard of wine glasses and crockery, a little nook area for relaxing, reading and a working stove for chilly evenings. The shower room is separate and includes a washing machine, bidet and large old fashioned marble sink. The theme continues in here with red gingham shower curtain, circular toilet and bidet and even a red glass chandelier (yes, in the bathroom).

The kitchen comes equipped with most utensils that you will need to be self sufficient for a few days. There is a nice oven, dishwasher, italian coffee maker, gas hob, chopping boards and cutlery. WIFI is excellent.  There were even some basic foodstuffs supplied (olive oil/sea salt/coffee and tea)

The terrace has a nice table, chairs, cushions, two loungers and throws. There is also a small bar b q which we didn't use. 

A cleaner attended each day and breakfast was supplied at a local small hotel where seating is available inside or on the side of the street overlooking the lake. Friendly staff, limited English but you can always point!

On the negative side, Nemi is a small village and really a car is necessary after a few days to see lots of other lovely towns of the Castelli Romana.  
It is also quite a trek by public transport from FCO airport. Train or/a d bus to Albano then taxi, makes it time consuming. With a car about 1 hour max. Ciampino airport would be much more convenient. 

One other suggestion to the owner and why I marked down the 'sleep quality'. The open plan structure meant that the very large patio window/door to the terrace let lots of light in, which is lovely during the day and evening. However as there are no curtain or window blinds once the sun came up, light spilled in and light sleepers definitely would be woken, as we were.

Fabulous find

The view is stunning and the host was wonderful. The suite is very comfortable and well equipped. The place is very clean, although the shower is a little bit small. It's a wonderful spot to stay if you land in Rome afternoon and don't want to start driving for hours right away.
